POLL: Who's More Likely to Win? Connor Benn or Chris Eubank Jr.?

Who are you betting on to win in this fight, and if you are not betting, who are you picking to win? Feel free to say why in the comments. I'm picking Eubank Jr. because he's jus the bigger, more experienced guy. He's been working hard with RJJ, and he's improved quite a bit. I can't see Benn pulling this off. But who knows ....

Unless he's drained beyond the point of effective performance it's Eubank. Considerably bigger and fought at a far higher level. Neither of em could be described as master boxers but I'd even say Chris got the edge in skills and experience too. In fact not sure what advantages I'd give to Connor in any area.

Yeah. I agree. The weight drain could be harsh, so I guess we'll see. I hope he's not going to do his Roy Jones routine this fight because that was ridiculous, especially when he jabbed him to the canvass several times but couldn't end the fight because, allegedly, he wanted him "to suffer." Something like that. If he pulls those antics again, it's possible that Benn catches him good.

That being said, I think this is going to be a very good fight.

Eubank is not going to be drained, it's just 3lbs. And the weight he chose the fight to be.

Connor is coming up 10lbs. No brainer who is more likely to win.

Connor certainly believes he has something that defies those odds though. I don't think this is just a money grab.

We've seen this kind of match-up numerous times in the last couple of years and the outcome is always the same. The weight drop for Eubank is about the same as Porter vs Broner. This is not a Ward-Dawson situation. Safe lucrative defeat for Benn vs getting his clock cleaned against Ortiz or Ennis.

Is he better at this point in his career Brook was when he fought GGG? Is it say to say Eubank isn't good as GGG but he is young durable and strong? So I have a pint-size welterweight who has fought literally no one vs a 160/68 who has been tested (Grove and Saunders are light years ahead of anyone on Benn's Algieri resume). Benn is so good I'd lay major money on Ortiz and Ennis cleaning the ring with him. At best this is Porter/Broner 2 which was a UD. You can give Broner a fake SD if you like for the hook he caught Porter when he was relaxed. This is yet another fight where it is safe to take a defeat vs a bigger fighter with an excuse vs one of your contemporaries.

Looks like there's a 162Lb rehydration clause, so that ain't just the 3Lb extra for Chris (which can in itself be a killer for a dude coming down in his 30s) but means his ring weight will ultimately be 8Lbs plus less than what he's used to. That's significant.

I still think Chris should win, just on the basis of his greater skill and experience but the catch weight and rehydration clause can't be ignored as a factor. If I'm Eubank I'd think very carefully about whether to take the financial hit to gain a few extra Lbs.

Connor should win. CW, hydration clause, why stop there, why not t ie one of eubanks arms behind back while your at it?
I mean if euban k does win, Connor will be saying to himself "yeah, I knew I should have euban k tieing his shoelaces together written into contract also"
I mean how many advantages did Connor need?
