Why are we talking about him fighting Mosley next?

He still has to beat Big Show in a rematch.

Mosely by UD. With Richardson in his corner, I think he can pull it off.

floyd has a good chin though. even though he dominated he took one or two flush shots from corrales, and he took DLHs left hook. mosley can hurt him no doubt, but its not like floyd never seen anything like this before. hes used to sparring guys twice his size too.

mosley will have some success early, but floyd is too smart for him imo. mosley cant handle someone with a really good jab. we saw it against winky, forrest and the second DLH fight. floyd has one of the best jabs in the sport even though he usually doesnt use it much.

floyd by UD, shane gives him the fight of his life though.

This is one of the toughest fights that can happen for Mayweather, Mosley is bigger, just as fast and more powerful, plus he now has Naazim Richardson in his corner, he won't just try to powerbox his way to victory, that powerboxing thing made him quite easy to figure out by the top guys in the sport, with Richardson in his corner he should have a plan A, B, C and D.

It's a tough fight to pick IMO, close fight.
Mayweather looks faster than Mosley imo. Don't be fooled by his Margarito win. If Ricardo Mayorga was level/winning on the scorecards before he got KO'ed then Mayweather will have a field day.

The type of fight Mayorga fought was a very spoiler-ish fight, 1 or 2 punches then clinch, rough house and repeat. I also don't think Mayorga should've been ahead and/or even going into the 12th, I thought Mosley was winning it clearly. The type of fight that Mayorga fought against Mosley is not the type of fight that Mayweather fights.

Mayorga had like an almost 10 pound weight advantage in the fight as well, that was also before Mosley got together with Richardson and if Mosley is to be believed he fought the fight with foot blisters, blisters are a ***** to walk around with much less fight with, it could've thrown him off.

So I really wouldn't look too much at the Mayorga fight.

I'm not sure whether Shane would stick to Naazim's plans at times, if Floyd frustrates him a bit I see Shane becoming too emotionally charged because he seems way too desperate for Pac or Floyd to be completely rational. Shane has as good a chance as any though. Would be good to see how quick he looks in a ring compared to Floyd though.

Mayweather will never step into a ring with Mosley, at least not until Shane is past it (3 or 4 years from now). Floyd won't sign anything that gives him any chance of a loss, and Mosley would, in my opinion, beat his ass all over the ring. He'll sign a fight with Pacman, collect another big payday, and then retire again (after hiring someone to manage his fortune this time), probably permanently this time. And good ****ing riddance. I want him gone again before he talks Vic Darchinyan into accepting a big "PPV Showstopper" with him.

It's the best fight to make at the moment and could be 1 of Floyd's "legacy" fights. I'm sorry but beating a lightweight and Ricky Hatton dont mean ****. Your in a stacked welter division so fight the best there. Mosley, Cotto, Marg and even Clottey can all be beaten by Mayweather but will he have the balls to take the fights?

If the fight does happen however, I think Floyd can win by a tight UD. But that depends on his chin and how he can take Mosley's punches. He will get hit in this fight as Mosley is 500% faster than JMM.

True, different styles, different fights i agree with that.

But i've seen Mayweather get hit flush with big punches before (hell even Marquez got him with a big one whilst he was on the ropes) and it didn't phase him. His defence and reflexes just looks too good for the more winging power punches of Mosley.

The only way to beat Mayweather is by pummeling him on the ropes, nobody will outbox him in the center of the ring. I don't see why fighters don't realise this, Castillo laid out a good blueprint on how to go about beating Mayweather. But alas, nobody seems to be able to do it.

I'd probably give Mosley a better chance if he were a few years younger.
