This is just one more pathetic excuse to save face and continue living in denial. He hasn’t been able to come to terms with those humiliating beatings. This is like someone who can’t accept that their girl doesn’t really love him anymore and still thinks he can win her back. He needs to move on and focus on rebuilding his career and learning how to block and duck punches and move on his feet.
