Cus D'amato claimed guys with my skeleton structure (Hearns) punch the hardest. Was he right?

What's the model? For hitting a heavy bag, they should be fine, especially because I assume they are unused. Some are trash but some are okay. The big issue is the lack of durability. Within several months they'll start to deteriorate. But I'm asking is to hit a 100/150 pound heavy bag for 10 seconds. I'm sure they'll be fine. Do you have hand wraps?

That aside, when I'm in the gym, you can tell when someone is hitting a heavy bag with a lot of power. It has a distinctive sound. This doesn't necessarily say that you hit hard, but if you are hearing this, then you can be sure the guy isn't hitting with a lot of power.

Here's an example of someone who is hitting the bag but not necessarily with a lot of power:

      https://www.******************/YGH4kXtsgX0

Now here's an example of someone hitting the heavy bag with KO power:

      https://www.******************/bXy_zcDmrvU

(It should sound like a gunshot or the crack of a whip.)

There's a big difference. If you want to compare, you'll have to hit a bag that weighs a lot more than that little kid bag you have. It'll fly around because of how light it is. Also, keep in mind that, generally, if the heavy bag is flying around, it means your punching technique is off.

      Good luck.
I have hit a real heavy one, with gloves, when I boxed and it sounded like contruction work. You could not talk in the gym when I swung on the bag.

They had us lined up and throw our hardest punch. The coach stopped at every guy with a comment. Then he came to me and just went right past me when I hit it.

The guy holding the pad asked me not to hit my full power. I still did. ***** can go somewhere else if he can't take it.

He also called on the coach telling him he can't take it anymore in his arm. The coach said: he is strong.. I am just going to get him to relax.

So I already know! Just testing you guys, but you wouldn't play.

Okay. Sure. Where's that 10 second video? You're going to have a hard time convincing anyone here that what you're saying is true. You better make another video with more footage of those sledgehammer fists you have

BTW: I thought you were much younger than 33. This is crazy.

Yeah the age thing is part of the tragedy. I found out that I had a natural ability to punch when I was 28. I didn't even go there for that. I started boxing to prove to the Karate guys that I could handle the boxers strength and conditioning classes.

I did think for myself: hope I'm a puncher. . Since those guys were my idols. The heavy hitters. I never liked the finesse fighters. They take advantage of the rules. The power hitters are the real fighters to me. They can fight any sport, any situation...real warriors. Finesse fighters are just playing a game.

Anyway, that's my story. Thanks for listening

Again, I see you aren't wearing boxing gloves. Again, I see you are just throwing a lead straight, instead of combinations (with hooks and overhands). You might want to find a bareknuckle forum to post on. Here, we talk about boxing, not bareknuckle. You'll get better feedback on a forum such as that. In fact, I'm not sure why you are not posting on Sherdog.com. That's where you should be posting on.

I agree.. I will do with gloves next time and combos.

Btw here's how my mechanics look on a different surface shadow boxing. https://******************/B-XHfnb5QKc?*************

You will notice there that I have much more knee spring. The sticky floor in that gym alters my mechanics.

BUT, a lot of people have recommended that it's better to punch with no discernable sink, because sinking telegraphs. What is your stance on that? Do both?

Well I am no expert on biomechanics, but I wouldn't specifically imply that lanky people are the hardest hitting boxers when you also have examples such as Hagler, Tyson, Marciano, and etc.
