To myself, it looked like Jose got caught in the moment and as soon as he got rocked in the 1st rd ,all of his training, discipline and boxing IQ went out the window. After he got hurt its like he was like "ah fuch,I gotta answer back" and just started over committing on everything to try and get the crowds approval rather than taking his time to recover and work out a strategy for Santos aggressiveness. It happens. Happened to Victor against Maidana and Broner vs Chino. For all we know,Santos may very well do the same to Cruz,Martin or Rivera. All isn't lost after one loss.....
I just thought it was a matter of a protected fighter trying to force the same thing that always worked before and having no back up plan because it's never failed him and he didnt know anything else to do.
He might be able to beat Cruz if he can hurt him early and get his respect. I think Cruz wins in a war. Martin might be more of a chess match than a slugfest. its intriguing. But Rivera might adjust better than Valenzuela if he gets in trouble. Still he could get caught easier than Martin.

I think because they think Tank is easier... But I don't know.
