Very big upset and huge set back (imo) for Rayo. Props to the Dominican.

Between 18-22 years old is the most dangerous time to be a pro boxer.

Thats what he gets for being ****y. Less talk and more talking with the fist. Teofimo was probably laughing.

Congratulations to Edwin de los Santos.

Kinda shameful that Rayo was challenging Cruz during the conference in front of his opponent and got obliterated because he dismissed him.

But at least we know that there is actually a rising lightweight who's an actually a threat to anybody at the division and it is not Jose Valenzuela.

Do you think he can beat Gervonta? Would that be an OK fight to you next?

I'd rather Davis fighting people like this guy and William Zepeda than hypejobs like Ryan. Fuck all the rankings and belts.

you have to be careful with Sampson Lewkowicz Fighters, if they offer you one of this fighters to step in on short notice...TURN IT DOWN!

Sampson eye for talent is INCREDIBLE, one of the best in all of boxing, he is BRILLIANT at finding Latin fighters and bringing them over and they're always live underdogs looking to make names for themselves

Wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Rayo. He got served some well deserved humble pie no doubt but it's early enough in his career where he can learn and come back a more well rounded fighter from. Having an opponent switched out to a fast, hard hitting southpaw last minute isn't something someone as young and inexperienced as himself is going to have a walk in the park with.

To myself, it looked like Jose got caught in the moment and as soon as he got rocked in the 1st rd ,all of his training, discipline and boxing IQ went out the window. After he got hurt its like he was like "ah fuch,I gotta answer back" and just started over committing on everything to try and get the crowds approval rather than taking his time to recover and work out a strategy for Santos aggressiveness. It happens. Happened to Victor against Maidana and Broner vs Chino. For all we know,Santos may very well do the same to Cruz,Martin or Rivera. All isn't lost after one loss.....

He's still the weakest hoe in the division. Gervonta is the Champ, the man all lightweights want and mention.
Looks like even the contenders don't mention people like Ryan and Haney. Cruz beats both Haney and Ryan.
