  • Comments Thread For: Eubank Jr. Warns Benn That Super Middleweights, Heavyweights Couldn't Drop Him

Chris Eubank Jr. almost feels like he is living in an alternate universe. The longtime 160 and 168-pound British contender has been mildly surprised by the number of observers picking Conor Benn, a career welterweight, over him in their highly anticipated 157-pound catchweight bout Oct. 8 at The O2 Arena in London.

They say Canelo spars with heavyweights but then when he loses they say he was too small to fight light heavyweights. So I dunno, maybe sparring is just sparring? Just a theory.

Then fight those super middleweights and heavyweights and stop calling out people from lower weight classes...

This kid doesn't want to know real competition , Benn is an untested welterweight , this is why this mug has taken the fight .There's real guys out there and Jr with his dads name could have gotten any of them , instead he elects for a circus fight with a guy three divisions down .His dad was the real deal this kid is a fraud.

It was Conor Benn who called Eubank Junior out, and opportunistically stipulated all these catch weight and re-hydration clause mandates.

Eubank Junior thinks it is a big commercial fight 'Which it is, and still a winnable fight'.

So although Eubank Junior is taking all the risks here, the fight makes sense for him.

Eubank Junior has had bigger fights than Conor Benn, he has taken on bigger challenges 'And has by far the better wins'.

Billy Joe Saunders, James Degale, George Groves, Liam Williams, Arthur Abraham.

This narrative that Eubank Junior has not been a fighter to challenge himself is complete nonsense. He has had a solid career, and always puts in a good effort win or lose etc.

Note: Conor Benn is not even a champion, but he or at least his team have routinely been making fights as if he was. First they called out Kell Brook, and where trying to force Brook back down to 147 pounds 'And now they played that same kind of game with Eubank Junior'.

Eubank Junior has taken up the challenge, and the risk. And when the opportunity back in the Middle Weight Division comes along, he will take up that challenge as well.

I am not claiming that Eubank Junior is some world beater, I know what level he is at. But what I am stating is 'He is game, solid fighter'.

they are both frauds and their fathers know it .
everyone involved should hold their heads in shame bearing in mind this is a money grabbing, greedy catchweight that disrespects the memories of what their fathers went through in the aftermath of fights against Michael Watson and Gerald mccellen .
