For the first time , I’ll be backing Chris to win. Will be horrendous for his career if he gets beat, doesn’t matter whether that’s by KO or split decision.

I expect the rehydration clause to play a huge factor though and Eddie is rather smart to put that in there because I believe without it Benn gets staunched within 8.

I do think Team Benn have taken this fight as it’s basically no lose situation for them. Lose its down the size , win and he’s the next Floyd to a certain audience.

Benn also gets to avoid facing a young a live active contender in his own division at the same time. Rather astute maybe, but it will work against Conor in the long run.

I hope they’re is stringent drug testing for this fight also.

So although Eubank Junior is taking all the risks here, the fight makes sense for him.

Eubank Junior has had bigger fights than Conor Benn, he has taken on bigger challenges 'And has by far the better wins'.

Billy Joe Saunders, James Degale, George Groves, Liam Williams, Arthur Abraham.

This narrative that Eubank Junior has not been a fighter to challenge himself is complete nonsense. He has had a solid career, and always puts in a good effort win or lose etc.

Note: Conor Benn is not even a champion, but he or at least his team have routinely been making fights as if he was. First they called out Kell Brook, and where trying to force Brook back down to 147 pounds 'And now they played that same kind of game with Eubank Junior'.

Eubank Junior has taken up the challenge, and the risk. And when the opportunity back in the Middle Weight Division comes along, he will take up that challenge as well.

I am not claiming that Eubank Junior is some world beater, I know what level he is at. But what I am stating is 'He is game, solid fighter'.

Excellent post from start to finish.
& I understand if you think I’m being sarcastic. I’m being serious through I fully agree with what you wrote. Brilliant.

I have a horrible feeling about this one and I really hope I’m wrong. Let’s just be glad Benn gets out of their safely and continues his progress at his better weight class.

I don't think Chris understands weight drained, yet. He won't be a super middle or even middle himself to obsorb the shock.
