Haney has skills, just not power or killer instinct or an exciting style. And if he can't get KO's at lightweight, 140 is going to be a big problem for him. But I wouldn't be surprised if he gives Loma a tougher fight than most, since Loma is small for lightweight.Comment

Good that Haney recognises one of the greatest of all time, a brilliant defensive mastermind when in his prime, 'Sweet Pea' Whitaker.
His only clear loss was against Trinidad, when Pernell was past his prime and came back after a layoff, and had some issues in his life. Whitaker would've outboxed Trinidad easily in his prime.Comment

His loss to De la Hoya seemed pretty clear to me. I distinctly remember Pernell getting upset with himself throughout that fight. That being said, it was toward the end of his career.Good that Haney recognises one of the greatest of all time, a brilliant defensive mastermind when in his prime, 'Sweet Pea' Whitaker.

Haney's just talking about his rematch cause he's forced to fight that. And that's an easy win for him. After, he will say he defended the belts, like we are all ****** and don't see thru that ****, and he'll run to 140. Guaranteed. He knows what Loma will do to him. Nagatani his ass. Haney can't live down that statement about Loma, 'no white boi gonna beat me in the ring', when he loses to Loma so run for the hills he shall. Flim flam mirrors and misdirection.Last edited by TDLand; 09-05-2022, 11:55 PM.Comment
