Yeah. I also kept thinking of those videos of Valdez sparring for the Shakur fight, and all I saw his Valdez sparring the guys at the gym, primarily Canelo. I don't see how that would prepare him for Shakur. I mean, in a sense, yeah, but where were the guys you see that typically go and spar for those fights. Like Kambosos, who sparred Albert Prince. Prince is one of the top sparring guys. He's a pro fighter but makes a lot of money sparring top guys to get them ready for that style. You know what I mean? Just seems as if Reynoso's gym is now on the downward slide.
Why doesn't Eddy Reynoso scout any young talent from Mexico?

Im honestly not sure about him training Nopales and Olivares.
From what I read Chepo Reynoso helped to train Mantequilla Nopales and Ruben Olivares, isn't that right?
Under the tutelage of said highly prestigious trainers like Ignacio Silva, Julian Magdaleno and Jesus Rivero.
Chepo is the one who trained Canelo and the fact that he was the one who trained Larios who gave a very difficult fight to Pacquiao, a trilogy against Israel Vasquez and beating Wayne McCullough x2 is quite impressive.
Does he have any rising prospects at the moment to keep an eye on?
But pictures / memorabilia of Jauregi , Larios and Canelo all over the gym.
I took a pretty Good young Bantamweight with me and he got very good work.
As to the names any prospects. Im not sure. But he has a good system.
The star of the gym was a little kid about 5 / 6 years old they called Lil Champ.
We later found out he was Canelos son.Comment
