Fury can't have expected Usyk to fight again this year, he just fought a hard fight in August.

A top fighter doesn't have two big fights within four or five months of the other, just no ways.

Usyk needs to rest and spend time with family.

Fury fought over four months ago, and has since retired, unretired, and lined up Chisora, Ngannou and the strongman Thor. He clearly needs boxing in his life a bit longer.

Sorry, but I must contradict you here. The nuttiest fight on record was, in fact, a 125 round contest between a Sir Henry Nutkins and one Squirrel ‘the Nut Muncher’ Lovenut which took place in 1879 in a small Illinois tavern adjacent to a walnut factory.

I think Usyk has more than earned the right to dictate terms a little bit like he is doing here. He’s constantly fighting away from home and giving up advantages etc.

This fella might be a small heavyweight, but he’s Uniquely Special.

Fight him in December. Your family isn't going anywhere.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but on the last Top Rank card on ESPN, Mark Kriegel actually brought up several reasons why the fight wouldn't happen in December regardless if Usyk was ready or not.

The reasons were primarily financial and scheduling but it made sense. One of the few decent things Kriegel has said on air, I'm sure he probably just read it off of Dan Rafael's Twitter account. My guess is the fight is in February or early spring but what the hell do it know....

Rather fight in December when Fury still wants it, by 2023 it may be too late.

We for sure do not need a trilogy between Usyk vs AJ, who could be interested in that? It has been proven that Usyk is just a better boxer and fighter than AJ. Joshua can still fight Wilder after he beats Helenius, that would be an entertaining fight.
