Jab Jab Whimpers! I think he was pointing to the fact that Mexican fighters have a tradition and have never had issues facing each other. He was using Barrera and Morales as an example because that was the first names that came to mind. At no point did he ever say that their fight would measure the them, but I don't expect someone with the I.Q of a cane toad would be able to read between the lines....

It's pretty simple really. Canelo wants to always be the Mexican 'Darling'. If another Mexican beats him, that person takes over as the more popular Mexican 'Darling' Champion. He wants to always be the most revered Mexican boxer, so to achieve that ... he can't take the chance of losing a fight to another Mexican.
Some serious ego--centric reasoning ... taken way to far .... but really, who's surprised? Also, he doesn't want another Mexican to become the sport's cash-cow ... over him. In the only fight where he was the 'B' side (Mayweather) he lost .... didn't have ALL of the judges favor (actually, for real fight fans he was the 'B' side vs Bivol the champion - he lost that one too).
I think Ramirez beats him in any case .... but I doubt he ever will take that fight.Baba K

Benavidez, Ramirez, Andrade ... probably all find a way to beat him. Hopefully, GGG continues the "Humble Him" tour that Bivol started for Alvarez ...
