marquez and pac are different fighters just as cotto and mayweather are different fighters. if you think cotto is gunna do to pac what may did to jmm pass the blunt my way cause you obviously got some dank. if cotto beat pac it will be because of his size and power, not because he's sitting on the outside picking him off.Comment

pls dont compare mayweather to cotto, its a disgrace to mayweathers name.
mayweather is the best defensive fighter at the moment, cotto is the opposite.
mayweather is one of the fastest boxer at the moment, cotto is the opposite.
mayweather relies on speed, single shot, footwork, cotto is the opposite
the only thing they have in common is the jab, but cotto got a slow jab while mayweather got a lightning fast jab

I agree, a lot of people are just overlooking Cotto as if its going to be another DLH fight. But when people bring up that Cotto will make Manny look like JMM, that's stretching it. Manny kept his speed while moving up in and weight, and perhaps a bit of his power, JMM did not. The reason could very well be that Manny is not much smaller than Floyd and Cotto. Their reaches are almost identical, JMM had 4 inches smaller than Floyd, and HBO said only a 1 inch difference in height when it was obviously 2 or 3 inches. And weight... good lord, JMM was 142 at the weigh in, which is probably what he come in on fight night. Manny at least gets up to about 147 or 148, and really he's just bigger than Marquez, his legs are definitely much bigger. The fact is Manny was a big Feather/Lightweight, look how big he was compared to Diaz.
Maybe, as JMM said after the fight if he had a few fights in the division it would have been better, he may be right. While the fight may not be worth a TON of money I can see JMM vs Hatton to see who can get the best bounce back from their career. Personally, it might give JMM a shot at Paqman, albeit a long shot assuming Pac loses to Cotto or PBF and JMM puts on a solid show to Hatton, its possible. And I'd put my money on JMM in that fight because its PERFECT for his style. JMM lots mainly on speed and power in Floyds favor, but if Floyd was being more offensive and let JMM stay in his element, he wouldn't have looked as bad.Comment

A lot of you guys have to be realistic now.
Pac wont be able to stop Cotto if Mosley and Clottey couldnt. Pac hasnt even felt a Welterweight punch yet let alone the strongest welterweight out there. Cotto is gonna manhandle pacquiao like a rag doll.
As far as mayweather is concerned. Theres a reason mayweather chose marquez, to tune himself up for bigger fights. He knows Cotto will reign supreme against lil pacquiao. The sheer strength and power is gonna be the factor.
Marquez couldnt hurt mayweather with anything. He even let marquez wail at his body and it didnt effect him. Pacquiao will be the same. The heaviest fighter he ever fougth weighed 2 pounds heavier than him which was Ricky HattonComment

Yea a rusty mayweather who has no power on his punch yet still had no problem disposing of Marquez.
Cotto has pop and is dangeous. he also can box with the best liek Mosley and Quintana. he can also game with the best like Margarito with plaster hands and Clottey even hurt with a severely cut eye in the 4th roundComment
