Im happy for the fighters but frankly this is another dumb promoter like DAZN who are going to lose boat loads of money doing this. Are millionaires this ****** to blow thier money on boxing? Im all for bidding but boxing does not generate high views and ratings anymore so bid rationally on these fights.Comment

GTFOH with your ignorant, uneducated bum talk. Prograis has been on the shelf because he's high risk, low reward (no belt). Any half way respectable fight fan should know that.Comment

Roc nation put on plenty of fights
Cotto vs Canelo
Ward vs Kovalev
Ward and cotto made big money on the way out because of roc nation.
Broner and Thurman wished they would have took that 5 fight/40 million dollar dealComment

This is slated to be a PPV. Marv has already hired the former HBO PPV guy as a consultant to help set up the PPV.
Anyone else wondering how a small-time promoter that up to now has only done small, low-level club shows (Finish Line Sports Grill in Pomona being their most frequent venue: https://boxrec.com/en/promoter/1014265), whose website lists only four signed fighters (2 male, 2 female: https://www.marvnation.com/our-fighters) and ZERO upcoming events, and who, according to Boxrec, has been promoting events for less than 2 years, came up with so much money for the purse bid?
A tiny local promoter that bids a ridiculously high $2.4M?
DOUBLE what more established, deep-pocketed promoters bid?
Without an apparent connection to either fighter?
And with no TV network involved?
Super suspect, to say the least. Is it too early to suggest MTK/Kinahan backing?
