Ofc. Matchroom and DAZN are the losers in the boxing game for sure! That’s what happens when u spend 9 figures on fighters that are worth 7 figures. Canelo is great but they been paying him 50M/fight to beat up cans. No one is watching. Him fighting bivol was dumb. Eddie thought it was easy money just like AJ/ruiz and AJ/usyk. The real casuals are the heads of matchroom boxing. Bivol is a GREAT fighter. No one knows who tf he is tho. That’s bad promotion. That falls on Eddie bum hearn and matchroom.

I agree with you! That’s why U won’t see any of those fighters u mentioned against other elite unknowns. Why u think no one wants to fight janibek? Boots getting hype and exposure and still can’t get fights You might see rygar vs davis. Vergil is getting lots of fights on tv he won prospect of the year he’s getting exposure and promotion. Bivol schooled joe smith but no one even knows about he fought buatsi but no one watched. Fury not out here getting KOd by the Andy ruizs of the world and getting dominated by cruiserweights he was expected to easily beat. AJ signed a HUGE dazn promotional deal before the usyk rematch. That’s another 8/9 figures they flushed down the toilet. I’m a boxing fan first and foremost and since DAZN came into the game with Eddie Hearn rooting their horn they have been divisive and made an already difficult environment to get fighters to fight the best nearly impossible by paying talented fighters exuberant amounts of money to fight non competitive fights. The irony is their 2 Crown ***els and most pricey investments lost to so called soft touches while they were trying to build them up for mega fights.

This is a more favourable fight for buatsi compared to facing Bivol, however, how he fares in this fight will tell him a lot about where he’s at and if he’s good enough to compete with the big boys.

Didn’t people rejoice back when don king was on the decline and less and less involved in big fights? Boxing has a whole array of characters. People have as much right to dislike somebody just as much as you have a right to Fawn all over them.

This one is a bad look for Matchroom, Buatsi is surely fairly high up their U.K. roster, so to lose a (relatively low) purse bid doesn’t bode well for them. I’d be surprised if the fight goes ahead, especially on BT Sport.
