Marquez did better than I thought he was gonna do

I didn't want to say anything, lol but I thought for sure he was gonna be stopped. And you had to be flat out delusional to think Marquez was going to be big or quick enough for this fight. lol These mondern day fight fan's are flat out ****in ******eds. Marquez' left hook to right hand was thrown like it was in quick sand, the weight and size difference affected him horribly. It basically took away any legitimate competiveness Marquez had in him.

But one thing I always underestimate about Marquez is his elusiveness. He was gettin tagged, but every fight ending shot Floyd would try to land, Marquez would slip it in the blink of an eye, the fact he survived that was a feat in itself. Dude just didn't have an offense outside of like 3 quick shots that caught Floyd lol. Plus the weight and size difference was ridiculous. But given the few shots that Marquez did land, they looked like they landed hard. I think this would have been a far more competitive fight if it could have been at 140 for both. But instead, thank's to Floyd we got see what it looks like for a featherweight to fight a full fledged Welterweight. lol That **** was lame. Either way Marquez got jobbed from the start by this ****in fraud. But he wanted the fight and aside from that one round he was gettin tagged in the corner, I definitely don't think this was a career ending fight for Marquez. I thought for sure that would be the case. But for the most part, Marquez fought a perfect fight in the sense that he kept his distance, never got in any real trouble. It's just he was carrying way too much weight, his arms were sluggish, and his punches just couldn't get out fast enough.

Agreed. There is no other rational explanation for Marquez' performance. He was simply undersized. This was a painful experience for fans of Mexican boxing. Floyd pushed Marquez around like a 10 year old kid and that's hard on the pride.

Unfortunately, this kind of thing will continue as long as Floyd can make big money doing it. It was very sad because Marquez is a great champion who obviously bit off more than he could chew.......and he did it for the money. This should be a lesson for Pacquiao.....who doesn't need Floyd anyway. My advise for Pacquiao is to demand that any fight with Floyd be at JrWW (140) with forfeiture of the whole purse if Floyd is over weight. Floyd doesn't care about belts as long as he is undeafeated and getting rich.

lol I don't know about all that, it was kind of expected. Would have been far worse if Marquez got stopped or pummled. But Marquez was right there, exchanged only when the already existing size disadvantage permitted him to, he never backed down. If anything, that makes you feel more proud.

Marquez was on a suicide mission and he was stilllllll tryin to flurry and land combo's when ever he was able to lol. That **** actually made smile, I was completey **** faced last night, lol but we had a good time watchin him, and seein him try to fight back.

We basically saw a fighter who's only fought twice at lightweight, fight a full blown Welterweight, and come out with his career still intact lol. Kinda crazy when you think about it.

yea he did ok, it wasnt a stomping like some say, i'd say he kept it competitive. He just couldn't move around like he could in the lower weights, to much weight.
