What is this rumor about Mayweather coming in at 161 pounds last night?

Marquez was 148 on fight night, according to Nacho...not sure how reliable that is though.

I would agree with most here. He looked a lot bigger than I have ever seen him look before. In past years he could have actually made it down to 144 but he couldn't now. No chance. He was a big, solid WW and he would have hydrated, like every other fighter does, up around ten pounds. He would have very easily been over 154. I would say about 155/156 too. Possibly even more.

He really was much bigger than usual.

Floyd gave up quite a bit of money for those two pounds. Anyone think if he was 152 fight night he would have had a problem with those last two hundred thousand dollar pounds? Not likely especially considering floyd is paying millions to the IRS. Floyd is finally a full grown real welterweight. Probably weighed 155 and a man of his vanity and intelligence doesnt want to give anything away unless he has to.

All of this is not reliable until someone outside of the mayweather camp weigh him. The commentators said 152... where did they get it since floyd did not let hbo get his fight-night weight? we can only guess and everyone's guess has as much weight as anyone including those commentators. IMO, approx 155-158.

I don't think Floyd even walks around that high. He did not look like he had a middleweight body or any extra flab. When he fought Oscar at junior middleweight, you could tell his body was a little too built because he wasn't as fast as he was at welterweight. He looked to be in peak form last night.

That's what I said, as well.

That's why he and Marquez looked similar in size at the weigh in ; because Floyd didn't hydrate yet.

Once he did, the disparity in weight became clear.

Marquez was probably 142 at that weigh in after a full fledged meal.

No, they didn't. Don't twist it. They said he was four pounds more than Marquez weighed. They were not talking about unofficial weight though, they were talking about official weight. He weighed in at 146, Marquez 142. Four pounds difference.

You thought they were talking about him being 152, four pounds more than Marquez's unofficial weight. Mayweather didn't allow them to weigh him but Marquez did allow them. He was much more than only four pounds bigger than Marquez. That was just the BS they spun. That was so untrue and it came from Mayweather's camp.
