dislikes taking risks and voluntarily fought Ortiz rematch and Fury rematch. People just like to hear themselves talk. You act like he was avoiding the Joshua fight or something.
Exactly. Wilder dislikes taking a risk, he has been bottle-fed all his career. They fed him an out-of-shape Fury in order to add a decent name on his resume but it backfired and he was forced to take two consecutive beatings. Helenius is going to take a dive, it's all arranged.

Ortiz was old and has no credibility to his name. He's a fake boogeyman that Wilder nuthuggers latch onto.
Wilder "voluntarily" fought Fury for two reasons.
1. Nobody besides Wilder fangirls thought the draw was a fair decision.
2.The WBC wanted the rematch anyways and would have ordered the rematch as a mandatory fight.
Wilder admitted to ducking AJ the same day he admitted Fury was a cherry pick.Comment

It will be easy and that is why Helenius has been chosen. No fix will be needed. Helenius is a heavy handed guy that can crack, but he has a very poor cardio and defense. An easy night for Wilder. It will be at least entertaining as long as it lasts.Comment

Yet another cherry for the most protected HW champ ever. Ko’s by G.Washington - speaks for itself.Comment

From what I recall there were multiple sparring sessions as Wilder prepared for Fury and Helenius for Kownacki. Based on interviews, the two of them are on fairly friendly terms with each other and spent time together in conversations on things other than boxing.I heard they sparred together, so that's interesting.
Do they go full out, not sure, but surely yes, it's business. With this fight later in the year we can see if Wilder is damaged goods or not. Helenius has an educated jab, just a pity he doesn't take a punch that well.
I don't think there's any "fix" per se. I just think Wilder's team selected Helenius based off of what they know from the sparring and expect this to be a win. I also think it's a favorable matchup for Deontay...but Helenius hits hard and a single punch can upset the best laid plans.Comment
