You have a Mexican co-trainer who isn't that good. And guess what? he pushes you to 2 Mexican trainers with ZERO top-level heavyweight experience as in Garcia and Reynoso.

Joshua got beat. Again. What’s with the “what if” scenarios? Why would you want to watch a 3rd fight? Seriously, why is it so important for you that Joshua gets a 3rd go?

Joshua is not going away mate. This is something in the aftermath, people don't want to talk about.

Joshua has not sustained a loss, that is horrific enough and brutal enough for him to disappear out of the game.

Uysk has to beat these guys at heavyweight, then get out of the game. Because these will figure him out.

You will be surprised how quick things can change, how quick people can change.

If Joshua gets a few top wins, the threat at attacking the Heavyweight title will start all over again.

That is just how the game works. And if Usyk is still knocking about, I am 100% sure Joshua will have no hesitation in taking the 3rd fight.

The commenters for DAZN were disagreeing about what Joshua was doing on the ring. He was following Usyk around, but was not pressuring him with any volume of punching. He wanted to land the mythical clean blow that just plain does not exist for Usyk. What a tough puzzle to crack. Joshua did more than he did in the 1sy fight, so I'll give him that

Usyk wasn’t even badly hurt in the 9th, he was a bit buzzed maybe but he was more flustered than anything. He starts moving frantically when he’s like that, which can make it seem like he’s hurt.

Anyway I said it before the fight, AJ is a timid fighter now. You can talk a good fight and everything but once you get in the ring it’s really hard to overcome that timidness that you have developed. They’re just expecting him to do things that mentally he’s not willing or capable of doing, and that’s before you even get into stamina problems and things like that.

Completely agree with this. AJ had many opportunities to be physical with Usyk (grab, hook his arm and punch, shoulder and punch, push and punch, etc), but he just doesn’t have that instinct. Despite his size he just does not trust his chin enough to be willing to take one to give one. He simply can’t fight dirty enough to contend with Usyk. Not being willing to exchange means you have to be able to outbox the other guy, and that was never going to happen.

Yes, and Robert shouldn't have been telling AJ that he was winning the first half of the fight.

Then again, maybe that's the way they believe that Joshua has to be spoken to during a fight. They know him better than we do.

There was another article on here not too long ago about Garcia explaining just that. That Joshua's the type of fighter who responds better to praise or positive reinforcements to keep him going in there and that's why he was being told "you're doing great in there" throughout the fight instead of technical instructions. After the 9th or 10th,I would've told Joshua's his ass is losing and its time to throw the ****in kitchen sink at Usyk,now or never type of deal.

everyone was saying it before the rematch, fans,pundits and former boxers, Joshua's only chance was to come out guns blazing and overwhelm Usyk, yeah there was a high chance that Joshua's glass chin would get cracked, but at least he had a slight chance of landing a fluke shot. The slow methodical approach had close to zero chance of winning. After the Ruiz jr beat down, Joshua is not willing to trade shots to land his own, even against a light hitting CW.

With Garcia now saying this, it seems he was just paid to be another yes man in Joshua's team.

This is the same Robert Garcia that said AJ was broken and couldn't be fixed after the Ruiz rematch. He was happy to take all of this money claiming he could make him better, and then when he performed exactly the same he comes out and says "well he should've started earlier". Right before saying “About the work that we did in the gym, and how the fight was going [until round nine], I think Joshua was doing what we planned,"

So he did what you planned in training, but he should've started earlier according to this bum Garcia. Overrated fighter, overrated trainer, overrated family for that matter.

His championship aspirations have disappeared for the foreseeable future until Usyk/Fury/Wilder/Joyce no longer stand in his way. I believe all 4 of those fighters dismantle AJ with ease. (Throw in Ruiz if he decides to actually train for more than 2 weeks for photo opportunities before going back to shoveling food in his face like he normally does). Lots of big money fights still there for AJ. If I were managing him I'd start with the Dillian Whyte rematch since Whyte is such garbage that even AJ can KO him in order to secure another pay day.

He tried that in the 9th and had marginal success. He didn't have Usyk hurt in round 9 and was burning himself out. He was letting his hands go and Usyk was slipping the punches. Round 10 would have been 10-8 for Usyk based on effectiveness compared to round 9. Usyk connected where Joshua had few clean punches land.

Yeah, right on, but Usyk was slipping punches, and taking some on the gloves all fight bar a handful.

No wonder AJ didn’t let fly as early as ppl are saying. He was well and truly on the carousel.
