Kind of hypocritical that Haney stated that Pound for Pound rankings lacks any importance while going on rant of how why he should be on it.

He could be by facing unknown fighters who are somehow ranked at the top like George Kambosos such as Gustavo Lemos, Jezreel Corrales and Michel Rivera to get at the bottom of P4P. He however will not give the opportunity to Frank Martin, Jose Valenzuela and Isaac Cruz if it is possible.

But Kambosos wasn't on that list, so it's hard for me to see what justifies Devin being on the pound for pound list. I think that if Devin fights Loma and beats him, he should be on the list because Loma is on the list. But without something more significant than beating a guy that was never ranked that high, despite having the belts, he shouldn't be on there.

The belts are nice but are really just a tool to make that fights that will get you on that list. The belts, just by themselves, don't automatically get you on that list, IMO.

Undisputed champs are a dime a dozen thesedays. Beating Linares and Kambosos isn’t enough. Sometimes it’s better not to fill up top ten lists for p4p

There are a bunch of names on that list who are even less deserving and hasn't done much lately like loma. Pound for pound lists are subjective fanboy crap anyway.

Nobody at 135 should be on a p4p list. There's been nothing to happen to clarify who's the best there.

Even Beterbiev only has one notable win....that being Gvozdyk. Anyone that tries to paint Joe Smith as a big win is delusional.

Yes. There are a lot of champions that are not on the pound for pound list. And Devin hasn't really fought the best either. Linares, though one of my favorite fighters, had been stopped twice before he fought Haney. Linares was still good enough to stop lesser competition, but he was not the same guy anymore. Personally, I think it was when he left Ismael Salas. But everyone recognizes that Linares was done at that point. Also, Diaz had suffered some defeats at lower weight classes before moving up to fight Haney, Haney who's built like a welterweight. And Kambosos was a guy that no one ever thought much of, and despite shocking the world, he was viewed as a "one hit wonder" that most of the boxing world thought would lose badly to Haney.

So we have Linares, Diaz and Kambosos as Haney's best wins, all at the same weight class, with Kambosos being the only champion. That doesn't scream P4P to me.

lol It's becoming that way. Also, I think it matters how you become undisputed too. Did you go and fight killers, scooping up the belts one by one, or did you fight one guy who's a B-level fighter? That's how I see it.

They definitely need to fight each other. The 135 division is the most disappointing division in all of boxing.

Well, as The Ring Magazine said, it's not whether you won or loss but also how you won and how you lost. If you won but should have won easily and didn't, then that's going to be factor in the assessment. If you won in dominating fashion, then that's going to factor in. Also, if you lost badly, that will factor in. But if you barely loss or it was a suspect loss, then that will factor in as well. It's not just black and white. I can' understand why Loma is still on that list. People are still gunning for him everywhere, despite his two losses. I think that says a lot for why he's still on that list.
