Poll: Should Devin Haney Be Ranked On "The Ring's" Pound for Pound List?

So Devin Haney told "The Ring Magazine" that he's dumping its belt because he was removed from the Pound for Pound list. There are a lot of people think that Devin should be on that list for beating Kambosos and being undisputed. But Kambosos wasn't on that list, so it's hard for me to see what justifies Devin being on the pound for pound list. I think that if Devin fights Loma and beats him, he should be on the list because Loma is on the list. But without something more significant than beating a guy that was never ranked that high, despite having the belts, he shouldn't be on there.

The belts are nice but are really just a tool to make that fights that will get you on that list. The belts, just by themselves, don't automatically get you on that list, IMO.

(If you voted "yes," please explain why you voted yes.)

No–Devin hasn't done enough yet to be ranked. I have no issue with Devin not being on the list

Lol absolutely not. The guy only has 2 decent wins and that's jojo Diaz and kambosos. The latter of which he won in absolutely horrid fashion. Worst fight for lineal I can recall.

      - - Heinie should be strapped to a big chair with eyes taped open and forced to watch all his fights.

He’s undisputed but he only had to beat one guy for it. I say no.

Barely top 15 at best. His only good win is Kambosos. Also, he uses too many cheaty defensive skills -ducking into knees and clinching- during fights.

Definitely. When The Ring makes its pound for pound list, it not only takes into account the wins but how those wins were won. It also takes into account how one loses, as in wether it was a sound defeat or a close loss. Those are factors. And I have to agree that Devin beat Kambosos—who's a B-level fighter—with exploiting the rules. There are several boxers who get away with those antics, and it used to be Floyd. But now the top two who use "The Hug" are Haney and Fury. Neither use it all the time, just when they feel desperate. The way Haney beat Kambosos has a lot left to be desired.

Haney ain't special fighter and the least talented among high level prospects imo. (Ennis, Stevenson, Ortiz, Davis and even Garcia.)

We don't know how good is he without cheaty skills. We didn't see him against a good pressure fighter. Kambosos was throwing power punches from outside like an idiot and still won 4 rounds. He is classic out-boxer who has a nice jab. That's all. Loma would school him. Kambosos would give him nightmares in the rematch with better strategy.

I'm definitely going to watch that fight instead of the Wilder fight. And let's hope Haney doesn't duck Loma. I'm getting some real bad vibes from Haney right now.
