Comments Thread For: Warren On Usyk-Fury: We'll Go Where The Money Is; Politics, TV Aren't In The Way
Frank Warren is optimistic that one of the biggest fights on the horizon, the undisputed heavyweight championship between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, can become a reality.

The WBC deadline is today August 26, has Tyson been stripped already? I hope so.
I thought that Team Fury and Team Usyk were already in private talks for a potential undisputed bout in December. If they are having private meetings then why in the Hell is Frank Warren speaking to the media? It makes me wonder

Bro
Relax now
Tyson Fury ain't gonna retire
WBC ain't gonna strip no Tyson Fury
Not when The biggest HW Fight is right there on the horizon
I know you and your cousin Champion4ever still pissed over Wilder defeat & not being in the mix
But Stay Positive
He's on his way back
Heh

I have been calling them ( WBC) all morning, and they keep putting me on hold.

So you think the WBC will actually follow through? That they will strip their piece of the HW pie away? So you have not seen how the WBC operates?
I am attributing your post to sarcasm. No honest boxing fan gives a **** crap-hole about the organizations. We just grin and deal with it as we accept the boxers and media do.

Basically, what the WBC is requesting is a letter of resignation by Team Fury stating his retirement in writing in order for him to relinquish their WBC heavyweight title belt.
I personally, don't believe they are going to get one from them. I don't know all of the WBC bylaws but technically I don't believe they can strip him of his title before his mandatory due date which is April of 2023.

I called the WBC again, Tere Flores (Sauliman's secretary) finally answered the phone but could not understand me; when asked about the 'Gypsy-Bum', Flores transferred me to the Mexican Federal drugs task force. I don't know if they are playing some sort of game.

I believe so, you see when Deontay Wilder was the WBC champ, injuries and multiple drugs violation by Alexander Povetkin and Luis Ortiz set the WBC mandatory years behind schedule. Now they got a proven drug cheater as champion who is unstable and unreliable -- remember, Deontay had to drag Tyson to court for the trilogy.
You can come to your conclusion.

Well, I don't blame Muaricio and the gang, I wouldn't want that bum representing my organization. But I can only hope that Tyson's official announcement through his verified social media accounts have some legal basis to get him stripped, ASAP.
The greatest thing about the negotiations is the fact no tv and politics are instant obstacles. Us as fan should be encouraged by this. I’d personally prefer a one and done deal, no rematch clause. But signs are suggesting right now this fight happens.
I will stick a bet on the draw because history and undisputed fights have had a few draws.
I personally will be extremely pleased to see either guy win. When you can say that about a fight you have to be happy as a consumer.
