The fact that two of the judges had it close when Bivol actually won every round, tells you how Vegas wants this fight to go. They can get more future paydays out of Canelo.
The way Golovin was blowing hard vs Murata, Canelo will clean up in the mid to late rounds and the judges won't matter. Golovkin equalled and arguably bettered Canelo a couple of years ago, this outing will be a sad retirement.
Well against murata ggg threw 600+ punches in 9 rounds and still closed the show. Canelo threw 495 in 12 rounds against bivol and was huffing fumes towards the end of the fight. Golovkin doesn't have to make 160 for this fight, meaning that he should have more in the gas tank to push the pace of the fight, and possible tire out canelo.
Benjy Esteves Jr.--not the corrupt Tony Weeks--was the referee for Canelo-GGG 2. Thank God. And he did a wonderful job.
At least two of the three judges are very, very disappointing. But I guess GGG already knows he can't win a decision against Canelo unless he pulls off a Bivol-like near-shutout. And Bivol only won 7-5 x 3 in that hotbed of boxing corruption.
clenelo doesn't know how to make adjustments when things aren't going well. Gol-old-kin needs to target the body to make little red coward-hood stand there fight. The clown will get frustrated and his overrated corner will panic like they did in the Bivol fight.
