Comments Thread For: Naoya Inoue-Paul Butler Undisputed Bantamweight Championship Set, December 13 In Japan

Naoya Inoue will delay his pursuit of a fourth divisional crown long enough to chase history. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that a deal has been in place for an undisputed bantamweight championship clash between Japan's Inoue and England's Paul Butler. The lineal/WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO title fight will take place December 13 at a location to be determined in Japan. ESPN+ will carry the event in the early Tuesday morning U.S. hours, while airing live on Amazon Prime Video in Japan.

Possibly one of the most underwhelming undisputed matchups. If Butler isn't on his bike the whole time I give him 4 rounds at most.

      Easy work for Inoue.

He can probably beat Butler and his meat at the same time.

Great opportunity for Butler, I’m happy for him to get a big fight finally. Testing himself literally against the best in an undisputed fight, but it’s a real tall order, Inoue is just so good, most likely too good.

Yep, a body shot will decapitate butler, as his head rolls in slow motion, inoue will punch it in to kingdom come.

Got nothing but respect for Butler. Inoye in Japan is almost suicidal.

If he moves up after and dominates, he'll easily be P4P #1

Butler flying to the other side of the world to get knocked out in a couple of rounds seems kinda pointless.. but ill still watch
