I like this fight better than a Canelo rematch. We already saw how Bivol performs at a high level without going to a second gear. It is time to see if Ramirez can rise to this occasion. He has skill but a bit unproven.
From what I saw from a late May article, he hadn't been paid yet. I'm not sure if he got it but why hold that man's money for so long? I believe the same happened when Floyd beat Manny- they took FOREVER to send him the WBO belt. He probably never received it.
Granted Bivol's defense was perfect against Canelo, advantages in height, reach, and mobility were a big part of that.

He is very good but Smith caught him and Bivol was very fortunate it came at the very end of a round. All I was saying is that playing defense against Ramirez and Canelo are worlds apart.
