I never thought AJ was the cream of the crop while Wilder had the WBC. I always thought Wilder had a chance to crack the AJ chin if they fought but the fight just couldn't get made. To this day I still blame that on the AJ side. They were scared straight of Wilder back then and knew they had to keep their golden child safe to protect those huge paychecks he generated over there.

Right now, I don't know how I feel about the heavyweight divison. Usyk is awesome but a small heavyweight. He beat AJ because AJ is a limited heavyweight as is Wilder. Then you add Fury back in whose clearly not truly retired. He will beat Usyk, not because he's a better boxer technically, but because he knows how to use his size well with his boxing. He's a true heavyweight boxer and that won't be good for Usyk.

You got Wilder who has a big punch but clearly just that. I think Usyk could even outbox him despite being smaller (yet Wilder doesn't always weigh in that high so he would be more even in size.). Then AJ whose a mess right now and doesn't really seem to have a place. He can win on a good night but then subsequently lose the next fight and all his belts. He'll get a rematch in the contract because he's the star and win the belts back, but lose them again in the next match, lol. He's kind of a sketchy heavyweight at this point.

its a bit ironic that the two specimens of the division, whose fans thought were monsters who could smash most people at their peaks, came undone by a pair of fatties who they were supposed to easily beat

It’s why in next two years or so the likes of Benn, okolie, buatsi and many more will all be exposed. Eddie and AJ went wrong leaving sky. They never give credit to the British public because that’s who deserves the real praise.

Brits love an event and in todays social media world they like to dress up take a pic and say they was there. Attend any Matchroom show and you’ll find that the overwhelming majority couldn’t name 2 fighters from every division in boxing or even one name from every division.
        Very good description.

But one thing is that the Brits like to hype but they are great boxing fans.

But cong**** to him, he had a great career making a lot of money... not only for himself but for others too. Usyk just made $49 million thanks to AJ.
            1) So when the undisputed fight with Fury was done and signed last year, then Fury pulled out and fought Wilder again - explain exactly how AJ ducked Fury.

Fury has 2 good wins in his entire career. And if Klitschko wasn’t in his prime when AJ beat him, then he can’t have been when Fury beat him either - unless he suddenly became shot without even fighting. Beating Wlad 7 years ago and only Wilder since then is not ATG material. You don’t get credit for posting you’ll beat everyone on social media.

            2) Finkel has also said publicly on Twitter that they were offered more money to fight AJ than they were Fury. They cherry picked Fury instead and it went wrong. Again, please explain how AJ ducked Wilder given that factual information.

            3) Ortiz was offered the fight when Miller tested positive, turned it down and in came Ruiz and beat AJ. Explain how that’s a duck from AJ too. Ortiz doesn’t even have one good win anyway.

I don’t even care about AJ. I don’t like his persona and I don’t care about any multi-millionaire sportsperson who doesn’t have any real worries like the rest of us. Wilder was/is totally delusional about his own ability, but I guess that confidence is what kept him winning. Fury is a head case who constantly lies and seeks attention by talking utter nonsense.

All I want to see is the top fighters fighting each other. But to blame one person for that not happening, the person who actually did try and make those fights and the contracts were there to be signed is just nonsense.

He fought undefeated Whyte and Parker, there was no knowing how those fights were going to go. Ruiz really was not a cherry pick. The Miller fight was not going to happen and they did try to get Whyte, Ortiz, etc and Ruiz was the only one that went for the fight.

I think he is a very good HW but not a great one. Usyk simply was spectacular and beat a well prepare AJ. I give Usyk all the credit and I am not going to sell AJ short because he tried to win.

This kind of thread is created without fail for any popular fighter. From the greatest fighters, to the likes of Anthony Joshua. It’s always “member what people said” and “they were protected and are frauds”. Pacquiao was protected, drained everyone, only fought hasbeens, Canelo protected, cherrypicker, cherrypicked Bivol even (lol), Joshua, despite him fighting the top HWs of today, cherrypicker.

The fighter you hate lost. Let it all out.

About Wilder. Guy beat I think 1 top 5 HW. 1 top 10 HW And got beat up by a 3 yr retired Fury, who’s rankings were subsequently based mainly off just pounding on Deontay.

What’s just as weird is the threads that are delighted at AJs downfall. Like the “mask slipped” thread. Lmao
