Don't worry, when the fight is made I will be ready to PM you lol.

Floyd could definitely do better against Pav then JMM did against him. Floyd is FASTER than Pav SLICKER than Pav and SMARTER than Pav. JMM was NONE of those things so your analogy isn't apt whatsoever.

I'd rather see Floyd figh Mosley because last night he looked like he'd seen a ghost when Shane stepped to him.

Anyway, Dap ; good posts. I missed the post fight with Marquez ; could you fill me in on what he said in the interview?

they both get hit...lets not confuse being a great counterpuncher for being a defensive wiz....the difference in that bout is, JMM had no business fighting above 135..at 147, he was a punching bag...without the speed or reflex that he has at the lower weights

anytime you have an unorthodox southpaw with comparable speed to PBF, its hard for me to believe 'he easily gets tamed'....that's why i want to see it

he beat up a fat, slow, aging lightweight Bring...

that version of Marquez last night would have been put to sleep by PAC

I wish I was as confident as you about it. I'm still 50/50 with Pacquiao vs Mayweather.

maybe running a round the ring

Marquez basically said that it was the weight that was the main issue, and that had he had more fights in the WW division, he would've done much better. He also added that he didn't think Pacquiao could beat Mayweather.

Anyways, I wish Floyd would have been weighed last night, I really wanted to know how much he weighed, he looked pretty damn big.

The fight played out exactly as I thought with one thing I didn't expect. I knew Marquez would be too slow and too small to hit Mayweather and would be an extremely easy target. The thing I didn't see coming was how little steam was behind Marquez's punches. He had no snap and no power behind them. When that became obvious the fight was over.

As far as rounds Floyd would win against Hopkins, he would win like 2 and be KOed by the 10th round. Also, Pac would not be anywhere near as helpless against JMM because he has speed and power between 140 and 147. That's why Pac is a legit fight for Floyd where Marquez never was. This fight reinforced my opinion that Pac would beat Floyd.

I think Paul Williams will beat Kelly Pavlik and you know Floyd won't have the balls to fight him. I wonder what Horus has to say about that. And what Mayweather did was worse than Mosley juicing for the De La Hoya rematch. HBO wouldn't even weigh the little ****sucker. I call bull****.

Mak believe me, I want you to be right, but if JMM could outbox Pac for most of the rounds at a smaller weight when they were both stronger, I think Floyd will put on a clinic because the advantages he'll have going in will be so great.

I guarantee you Floyd weighed at least 55-60 last night. He looked HUGE!!

I hope I'm wrong, and win or lose, I'll give Pac the same amount of props for having the guts to do what Mayweather will never do.

Move up and fight guys that are not only your size but even bigger.

floyd might take some rounds of pavlik tho.

I didn't think before the fight that the weight was a huge deal because they looked relatively similar in size but upon seeing them in the ring it was obvious that Floyd had at least 20 pounds on an already blown up JMM.
I been saying from the jump, THERE'S A REASON WHY THERE ARE WEIGHT DIVISIONS!

definitely floyd was about 160 lbs. he look massive compared to jmm.

Not only this but Floyd didn't even try to make weight.
yep, that was a major ***** move and screwed jmm over

Its a testament to JMM that he was able to hang and go 12 w/ someone so much bigger than him. Its clear he lost all his speed, reflexes and will in going up so high, but thats also what makes me respect him so much more as a man.
floyd could've ended it earlier if he wasn't so afraid to punch.

The willingness to challenge himself that way.
nah, man it was a pipe dream.... and HBO and GBP delivered that pipe dream. GBP has the worst matchmakers. never in my life would I have made that fight. nacho was ****** as **** too.

All things being equal, if JMM and Floyd fought naturally at 26' or 30', I think JMM would win because he is the better fighter.
I dunno if JMM is better or would win, but it would be a more competitive fight.

But Mangler was right all along, this fight was a ***ing joke, a kamikaze mission for JMM that he was destined to lose.
me and mangler knew what was up.

I was weary when HBO first cut to JMM arriving and the shots of him in his locker room. The look on his face told the story, he looked like he was already defeated from the beginning. I've never seen him look so pale, so down and so stressed before a fight.
he looked fine, but my stream wasn't that good so...

In fact, I don't believe JMM even wanted this fight,
nah man... JMM saw Pac beat dlh and thought he had a shot at WW... with PBF who got a split-decision with dlh no less.

news flash to jmm... you ain't pac... stay at LW.

I think Golden Boy asked him to call out Floyd in the post fight interview with Diaz because it was Golden Boys idea to co-promote Floyds return all along, which in a way makes GB *******s for being willing to offer JMM as a sacrifice to Floyd as a comeback opponent.
like I said before GBP matchmaking is horrible. now they ruined JMM's mexican image. I dunno if mexican will pay to see him fight in a big fight again. even tho floyd was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger, that's gotta **** up jmm's confidence and mexico's confidence in jmm.

Anyway, I'm pretty bummed about the outcome but I'm also extremely proud of JMM for aspiring to such great fights and for going out there and giving it his all against a much, much, bigger guy while giving away every possible advantage.
yeah, but no shame... JMM was ****ed from the moment he called out floyd.

He showed grit and toughness and he proved all the moron Floyd fans that he was no Gatti.
floyd held back imho... he could've ended the fight if he wanted.

                      JMM is a ***ing beast.
                      at LW

And even though he lost the fight, he will always be a better man than Floyd could ever be in every way.
JMM is a better human being than floyd

                      Some side thoughts.

I thought the way Kellerman owned Floyd at the end was great. Nice to teach the little punk who's boss. HBO owns you Floyd, so you better watch yourself.
yeah, if floyd isn't gonna cooperate and answer questions, then there's no need to give him any air time.

And it was beautiful to watch Floyd shrink like a **** in ice water when a man his own size went up to punk him.
lol... he saw mosley come over and he couldn't stop it so he waved mosley over so that it looked like he was in control.

Floyd lost all composure and panicked. I became a Mosley fan again last night.
nah, floyd was fine until hopkins started instigating BWHAHAHAHHAHAHA!

                      BHOP FTW!!!

As for Pac/Floyd, if I was a hardcore Pac fan, I wouldn't want any part of that fight. Floyd is simply too big for JMM and Pac and given Pac's more confrontational and violent style, I think Floyd just knocks him out similar to Hatton.
pac is too small for floyd. I don't think pac will beat cotto anyways. the only way that fight would be fair is if pbf cuts and makes the catchweight. if floyd pulls another ***** move and doesn't make weight pac is ****ed.

No way Pac can outbox Floyd.
i don't think anybody ever said he could
