Comments Thread For: Canelo: If I Beat Mayweather, Perhaps Life Could've Gone Wrong - It Wasn't My Moment

Canelo Alvarez is cognizant that his first career loss to Floyd Mayweather in 2013 wasn't so bad after all. The undisputed super middleweight champion tasted defeat for the second time in his career most recently in May when he stepped up to light heavyweight to challenge Dmitry Bivol, and ahead of his trilogy against Gennadiy Golovkin on Sept. 17, Alvarez reflected on his first blemish as a professional, and how it has shaped his perception on his life and career ever since.

This cherry picker basic clown will never be good enough to beat Mayweather. Using money's name to promote his Gol-old-kin trilogy is a smart move

What the hell does his loss to Floyd have to do with his upcoming bout? Is he still stuck on it?

This clown is a real street brawler and a very good boxer and even the face of boxing. In defeat my big boy there is a certain boxer who comes back even stronger like him and it's not because I love him more than other boxers but it's simply the truth chanpioM in 4 division conello you are champion in Division comment? Just like mayweather but the money there is only one it is unique now look at the perspective shakur stevenson who is a future of the best ever seen on the planet...! It will go far at least it's my opinion and I respect yours also have a nice day and be positive...!

Stop being mad that he's going to surpass Gayweather in terms of money and greatness. Canelo is going to be fighting GGG three times now, Gayweather ducked Pacquiao for years and only fought him once when Pac had an injured shoulder and coming off losses.

Gayweather would never fight a 40 year old GGG, his cowardly ass was scared of a short Filipino boxer from 2008-2012, I'd image his scared ass would've sh.it his pants at the thought of fighting GGG in 2016.

Don't understand the negative comments. He is basically said that the loss was a blessing in disguise and that it made him more dedicated and focused instead of veering to getting lost with such early success and fame.

He learned to take a loss and to get better from there.

Nope, Mayweather would beat the current Canelo as well.

Bivol has slickness, but not as high level as Floyd was.

No excuses about Canelo was green, nonsense. He beat Mosley and Austin Trout, and Floyd was at latter part of career. Still was easy. De La Hoya, Castillo and Maidana(1), Pacquiao too, gave him harder fights, much tougher.

But credit to Canelo, has achieved a lot, became undisputed super middleweight champion, and has got millions in the bank. Well deserved.

Just imagine it took someone 40lbs heavier and 5 years younger to replicate what Mayweather did to Canelo

Whatever you must tell yourself to feel better Saul.

Fact is you would never beat Floyd at 154 or below and Floyd isn’t good above 147.
