Artur Beterbiev won't be laid up for too long, it appears, even if it means his next fight will be postponed into the new year. In a recent BoxingScene.com report, it was noted that the Montreal-based Russian native and unified light heavyweight champion (WBC, WBO, IBF) would not be fighting mandatory challenger Anthony Yarde of England in October at the O2

I thought it was strange that all this talk of a major injury did not include what the injury was. Had it been major, keeping it under wraps is hard when specialists are seen and huge money fights are at stake. I am glad he is good.

A Holiday dispatching of his mandatory, along with Bivol handling his business later this year, removes all obstacles from the unification the LHW division, the fans, and both boxers need. LHW division needs it to continue to be relevant. Us fans need it because it is a drama filled clash of styles involving boxers fighting at their peak. Both Beterbiev and Bivol need it because it is their career defining moment (sorry Canelo- a Beterbiev win would be more important to Bivol than you) and both men's likely career high payday.

Get those pesky other fights out of the way. Rest that knee Artur. You have boxes to get checked off.

Should do the fight mid December time just before Christmas and just get it done and out the way.. What's the point of dragging it out till like February or Something if beterbiev is already back in training

I hope we can get the Yarde fight this year then. Hopefully we can get it out of the way ASAP and head into 2023 with the 3 possibilities

              Bivol unification

              Canelo matchup (long shot)

              Callum Smith WBC defence.

Which order, I don't think. I think they all end in KO for Beterbiev.
