He was not as crisp this fight and AJ had a better gameplan. All to make him look worse but you can't deny that age plays a factor in fighters where their mobility is part of their offense/defense. When mobility goes, so does their ability to be effective.
Is Usyk slowing down?

AJ had Usyk in the ninth but let him off the hook. He should have really gone after him in rounds 10 11 and 12. After that KO loss to Ruiz he has not been the same fighter. That fire he once had is gone for good. AJ has loss 3 of his last 4 fights. Dude, you can stick a fork in him. He's done.Comment

I think you're confusing what Joshua actually did in the 9th with what I suggested he could have done earlier. He went to the body in the 9th, then when he saw Usyk was hurt, AJ went for the KO, spending himself. I suggested he should have invested in body shots to Usyk earlier, but not necessarily go all out trying to KO him then. A gradual breakdown of the body would have weakened Oleksandr and slowed him down for later in the fight.Comment

He blew his whole wad in the 9th. If Usyk was as hurt from the body shots as you think, he shouldn’t have been the fresher guy for the next 3 roundsAJ had Usyk in the ninth but let him off the hook. He threw to the body when he had the opportunity it seems, but he was head hunting far more than he should have been. Shouldn’t have taken him 9 rounds to realize “none of these are landing.”

Joshua went for broke once he saw that Usyk was hurt in the 9th. Problem is, he spent all of his energy desperately trying to KO him. Usyk knew this and attacked an exhausted AJ in the 10th. All of those muscles need oxygenated blood and get fatigued quickly.AJ had Usyk in the ninth but let him off the hook. He should have really gone after him in rounds 10 11 and 12. Absolutely! When Usyk was moving all around, feinting, bobbing and weaving, AJ should have targeted the more stationary body more. He should have also thrown more jabs even if they didn't land, to give Oleksandr something else to think about.Comment

He is 35 old Lomachenko of heavyweight division. he is undersized compared to huge guys and the speed is his main advantage.
I guess he will not be around for a long, he is probably only interested in Fury fight.
Fury fight ( and maybe even a rematch) ant that is it for him, IMO. there is nothing more to gain.

Yeah I thought he looked a little off mate.Don't get me wrong, he was still far too quick and agile for AJ to handle, and pretty much everyone else for that matter, but to me he didn't look as fast as he did in the last fight..
Obviously his preparation was hampered due to the war but the man is 35 with a style that relies heavily on his movement, and legs are always the first thing to go
Thoughts?
Could be the heat in Saudi or what’s going on back at home effecting his focus, but then again he is 35 and relies a lot on his athleticism so age might be catching up with him.
His next fight will give us a more definitive answer.Comment
