Past a certain point (around the million mark), more money for 99% of people becomes superfluous. It's why title fights in boxing today are not very regular and why the UFC has literally title fights every fricking MONTH! And no Dana White isn't stingy....he's wise and knows paying fighters above and beyond creates divas and would have killed MMA a decade back, they are paid way enough as it is. Dana absolutely nails it in this video at the 2:13 mark, brilliant analysis:

Look at soccer, football, basketball, tennis.....boxing is the only sport today that if you're a fan....you're only a fan for certain times of the year and that's that.

But boxers fight same amount of fights as UFC/MMA fighters. Top boxers & top UFC fighters fight 2 times per year. And top boxers make much more than UFC fighters.

30-40 Mil range is after all the PPV buys and sponsorship money, but the purse alone not counting anything else for the first fight for Joshua was around 12 mil.
