Now this, and it's a hard fight for Dmitry although a clear favourite. Canelo-GGG lined up for a third and final fight. Haney undisputed champ, only noticeable superfight missing is Crawford and Spence, which seems doubtful for this year.
Its going to happen. Neither guy wants to miss this opportunity while a lot of eyes and money is on huge fights, knowing that theirs could be the biggest.

So there is no prior proof of either guy filling an arena PRIOR to this encounter...EXACTLY!!!!

Why would a promoter take the risk.

Bivol just beat Canelo so he is known now. Zurdo is a Mexican who has gotten some exposure on HBO, so Cali would turn out to see if he can do any better than Canelo.
So what!! beating Canelo & being seen on HBO doesn't automatically make you a ticket seller.

        Seems fairly obvious to me.
Apparently not, you couldn't produce any evidence that either guys has filled up an arena anywhere in the US.

Eddie Hearn doesn't understand the US market so it probably went unnoticed by him. But then again if UAE paid him an obscene amount of money then it is what it is.

Can't blame Matchroom for this, Golden Boy agreed to the deal as well and they are a LA BASED company. It's says a lot that even they don't want to take the risk with Zurdo filling out an arena in the US.

The fact is you don't know what Bivol's drawing power is after beating Canelo. He hasn't had a fight since. But it stands to reason that his name value has increased because of that win.

Golden Boy accepting the deal doesn't necessarily mean that the fight wouldn't sell in LA. Maybe UAE just threw crazy money at Hearn.

Very intriguing fight. If, and that’s a big if, Ramirez wins; it drops Canelo’s stock in a major way! I’m talking about straight plummeting down. If Zurdo wins, Nelo will not fight him, bet!!

Props to Ramirez for stopping to preserve his 0 by fighting in lesser competition. This fight will be 50-50 and i see Bivol exhibit his real boxing skill he has'nt show against overrated Clenelo. Thisn ight will expose Ramirez real talent. May the best man win...

Huh?!?! Beating Canelo doesn't automatically make you a ticket seller. When a fighter becomes an attraction, it is something that is built up over a period of time, not after one fight. This is not how boxing works, promoters don't take risk against an unproven commodity. Besides, Zurdo & Bivol are not from the US...there is no evidence that they have a built in fanbase willing to sell out an arena.

He hasn't had a fight since.
                  True.

Name recognition is what he has now, not name value.

Golden Boy accepting the deal doesn't necessarily mean that the fight wouldn't sell in LA.
Yes it does, otherwise they would have kept the fight in CA, investing & building Zurdo name here long-term in an arena that will give you recurring revenue as oppose to the one time money grab in the UAE.

Maybe UAE just threw crazy money at Hearn.
AND GOLDENBOY. This is a co-promotion, not just a Matchroom promotion...GB could have said "No, we rather lose money in CA over an unproven ticket seller in Zurdo".

This is the same sh.it like Usyk -Joshua.

Why you casuals still think "Ramirez will destroy him"? Because he is bigger?

Joshua has more chance to beat Usyk in the third fight ( that won`t happen) than Ramirez has against Bivol.

Interesting matchup. I favor Bivol in this one; Zurdo is big and tough but I expect Bivol's athleticism and skills to handle the challenge. Look forward to seeing it unfold in the ring.
