The majority of the pieces of the puzzle are that he is an exceptional boxer who is undefeated and recently has found exceptional power. Just because he ******** you doesn’t mean you should hate him.
What really bothers me is that a boxing fan, often with an IQ equal to his age as we can see here, confuses criticism with hate. I don't know how exceptional he is, you can only know that when matched against top level competitors. Which was my point. And you typically sit on a boxers genitals right after they fight all top competitors, not before. So, you can come off Fury now and take a shower.

Why are you so angry? Fury has clearly gotten your head.

When Fury beats Usyk and perhaps Joyce, will there really be a need to fight AJ?
Wilder would blast AJ out the ring if they fought so would that make Wilder an ATG?

Is it possible to respond without making it personal?
Of course it is. But isn't any critique of a boxer would feel personal? At the end of the day we pick on their skills and personalities, how is it not personal? I appreciate your projections, but they are just that - projections. Tyson was projected to beat Douglas. I was sure Loma would beat Lopez. Until Fury actually clears out the division it's OK to be agnostic as to his ATG status. Yes, I see the ATG potential in him, but it's up to him to realize his potential and prove it to the boxing world. That's how you become ATG, believe it or not. Not by assumptions or the opinion of the the god-like Froch and the like. So, let him "unretire" and show how he would fare against Usyk. Hell, I'll even say he'll be the favorite.

        Fury already is an ATG.

Old era HWs like Liston and Frazier have far worse resumes, just to keep the examples brief.

Beating Usyk makes him the GOAT.

Sorry, I do not think sloppy, slow, inaccurate 220 lbs bully Foreman would be much chop today.

Fury has a chance for legacy, to own all 4 belts at the same time at heavyweight, to make history. It's at his finger tips. What does this supposed great fighter do in that situation? He retires after Usyk beat AJ, the first time. Spouts in the media how great he is and every other boxer is a tosser. But he jests. His actions are what you pay attention to. Past all his bs words that he spouts, he doesn't like the potential odds of getting that first loss against Usyk. Fury does badly agaisnt guys who can move and he sees a potential loss against a much smaller Usyk. Fury's actions speak much, much larger than his bloated hyperbolic words. Point blank. The man is full of hot air.

Fury will not let Usyk any where near him and when he does he will lean on him and wear him out .There are many ways Fury can beat Usyk , there's none that Usyk can beat Fury.

This is a compelling argument and I do appreciate it.
To your point, I too was sure that Wilder would destroy Fury the first time. I was so sure of it that I bet on it.
I usually do my best not to critique a boxer on a personal level unless it’s someone like Broner. Any gripe or praise about the skill sets or mistakes, I think that’s fair.

What I disagree with is the idea that Fury needs to beat AJ to be great. I think we both can agree that at this point in his career, AJ is just an elite gatekeeper. I’d also wager that Wilder would be the favorite to win if they were to fight.

"FuRy Is ThE bEsT hW" says plonker who couldn't even beat Andre Ward when he was fighting with one handed.

The standards for Fury are all-time low: All he has to do is beat Klitschko (40 years old) and Wilder (Not ranked P4P) and he's the best.

I also bet on Wilder in their first round. Rushed judgment. Interesting how elite gatekeeper is a relative term. Relative to the current crop of fighters. Compared to Ali maybe Usyk and Fury would be elite gatekeepers. But back to AJ, perhaps at this stage it's not necessary for Fury to beat him, but it would have been a very compelling statement underlying the ATG status. He does need to beat Joyce and Usyk though because AJ beating Joyce is actually not a foregone conclusion although he'd be favorite, but I do rate Joyce as the hidden threat in the division. Too bad he's so old, buy Fury should want to clear out the division getting rid of the most prominent fighters to avoid any doubt of his ATG status. So far, he fell too far from this goal. Wilder might be the favorite, agreed, but I'd say AJ has a very realistic chance of beating him.

Fury has been price-conditioning the Saudis in my opinion. He'll fight Usyk but wants more than AJ got, hence the retirement shenanigans. As for the fight, much depends on how shot his elbows are. He'll need a jab to deal with Usyk.
