Solid by Eddie. Joshua should keep his head up. Guy deserves far more respect. But the boxing dweebs can only like winners.Last edited by SplitSecond; 08-21-2022, 11:05 AM.

So what is joshua saying in his rant? that while he was running around hertfordshire as a teen thinking he was al capone that usky was hard at work in the gym and thats why hes better than him? Anyway, a minor drug conviction as a teen for cannabis may or may not have stopped him fighting in america & how often has he fought there and when he did he got flattened by a pizza & wouldnt have stopped him from becoming a boxer and i doubt very much saudi would care less about a teen drug conviction if he did get one, so its time to find eddies shoulder and have a good cry & save the al capone stories for the beers on a saturday night to impress the ladsElastic Recoilz likes this.

I didn't find him offensive, just another ****** cringe moment in boxing history. But the underwhelming performance he gave makes it look worse.
Wilder and Fury are unusual guys, psychologically speaking. Fury-Wilder II was very one-sided. Yet Wilder fought with confidence in their third fight, and he gave it his all, took risks, seemed genuinely willing to die in the ring. So when they come out with ******/bizarre comments I can be a bit more understanding. They are passionate people and sometimes emotion clouds logic.
But AJ is almost the opposite of that. We all knew after that first fight that AJ couldn't come in and try and box or just pick his moments, he had to basically show the same mindset that Wilder had for the last Fury fight. But he simply couldn't do it, he's too cautious, conservative, thinks about everything, is well trained but when a fight gets hard he seems to be lacking real fighting instinct. Basically he is like Wlad psychologically.
Even his choice of trainer showed a lack of conviction. He was with McCracken solo at first, then had McCracken main coach and Fernandez assistant coach, for the rematch switched to Fernandez and Garcia, with Fernandez giving corner instructions. It suggests a guy who knows there is benefit in sticking with people who know you best, but also knows that a switch can re-energise your career, especially after a loss. But rather than make one big decision, AJ has just made a series of half-changes bit by bit over a few years.
So for me it's extra embarrassing when somebody with an AJ personality has an outburst. He can box 24 rounds with Usyk without his emotions boiling over and causing him to get aggressive. But once the fight is over he can throw the guy's belts then take the mic from him and refuse to give it back for 5 minutes while talking nonsense? Where was this passion at any point during the fight?Smash likes this.

i felt sorry for AJ when eddie was listing all his stadium fights one after another, all that cash flowing in and those noisy crowds, i think others have gone stateside before AJ too eddie, thats not changing the world unfortunately, but it sure changed pizza face's life, that was good going
