AJ had a bit of a Melt Down, hopefully all is well, need to take a very LONG Extended Vacation and really think about if he wants to continue to do this
made a ton of money so it is not like he needs to continue
Not too long! We wanna see him and Wilder get it on!
Yet again Joshua tried to box Usyk. Complete ****ing moron.
tried to hold centre, use footwork and head movement to move out of range of pre-emptive strikes, and then counter Usyk hard.
It worked for the first two rounds until Usyk figured him and upped the pace, which left Joshua as bewildered as every other fighter Usyk’s been in with.
What would you have him do? Run after this windmilling like everyone has been saying?
Getting the impression that people are gonna get in the ring with the Ukrainian and learn hard lessons, cos ppl are real hard outside the ring
To be fair though, he’s had so much pressure on him from the start of his career and this rematch just cemented that even In his own mind, there’s no way he can feel he is the best anymore. Not that anybody really thinks he is, but when you have a rematch there, you maintain bit of hope.
I think that realisation kicked in right there and the years of pressure come out
He should take a long break and then see what he wants to do
He didn’t do too badly tonight, Usyk won clearly. AJ did about the best he could really. You can have the right tactics and determination and everything but sometimes there’s just a gap in levels that you can’t really bridge, and that has been the case in his two fights with Usyk.
AJ is a good fighter, he can still be in good heavyweight fights if he can regain some confidence. He needs to forget about his media trained personality and he should turn heel.
I had it 7-5 Usyk but would've been ok with a draw Joshua put smart pressure and displayed a much better ring iq than before.
I'll give credit where it's due Joshua impressed me 2nd time he takes an immediate rematch with someone who beat him not many would do that. Although he didn't win he looked like a much better fighter and could still make for some good fights at heavyweight. If he would've done a little more body work he might've got the stoppage.
Wouldn’t have been ok with the draw at all, but agree with rest of the post.
