Okay we can see you are not comfortable by the face offs with Usyk. If you are just happy to survive you likely won't win. It will take great risk to beat Usyk. It looked like you just wanted to survive the first fight which is why you didn't engage with the better fighter. I don't see how this fight will be different except Usyk may want to end the show early.

This guy is slowly morphing into Amir Khan. There were some rumors about Wladimir coming out of retirement. I hope he does. He probably beats AJ.

He's no weirder than any boxer. Eastern European Fanboy Syndrome. A good mindset to see himself winning before stepping in the ring. You invasion games before you play them often, even dream before the game. Usyk isn't invincible.

It would be very easy to be defeatist and lose confidence facing someone who has already beaten you. Joshua needs this kind of mindset if he is to have any chance of beating Usyk. It might not be enough because Usyk is a great fighter but the mental aspect of boxing is very important.

AJ sounds like he is trying to convince himself. Like that "speak it, believe it, receive it" nonsense.

Anxiety is tearing him to shreds and his coping method is accepting that defeat is inevitable for 99% of boxers.

Underneath it all, he is still that same guy who had a panic attack before his US debut.

Detaching yourself from the result of the fight is not the mentality of GOATs.

It has to be seen if this is his real mindset or what he'd like his mindset to be...
