Wilder gave Stiverne & Ortiz a rematch. Fury just made the 2nd defense of his title against Whyte

Wilder didn't "give" Stiverne anything he was inexplicably the mandatory after spending twelve years (sarcasm btw) on the couch and coming back in horrible shape.
And giving a rematch in what was a controversial fight is to be expected... that BS with the doctor in the Ortiz fight was disgraceful and Wilder knew it hence why he had to "prove" his doubters wrong in a rematch.Comment

Exactly. Some folks are programmed to react negatively whenever the name Anthony Joshua and or Eddie Hearn is mentioned not minding whether it makes sense or not, true or false.
Why would you? If your the champion? Sure, if their putting a big payday down, but Joshua is the big payday, so he doesn't have to. They'll need to go earn it. And that's not exclusively a Matchroom thing. Wilder has never rematched anyone he's beaten. Nor Fury, who has only just made a first defence.Last edited by Boxviewer; 08-19-2022, 01:56 PM.Comment
