I'm OK with this fight, been OK with it as it has been rumored for MONTHS now so this is not some big surprise
Still not PPV worthy though even with Plant and Dirrell as Co-Feature but Blame Networks like FOX who have 1 Foot in and 1 Foot out when it comes to Boxing, they picked up another year Option but not really looking to Spend Money to make these fights Free on FOX so PPV is the only way to help pay for these Fights over on FOX. It think it was Marcos Villegas who recently exposed FOX and how they basically let PBC pay for everything while they just want to show up with Cameras and Production and get their % off the PPV.
You have to appreciate Showtime and DAZN for going all in on Boxing and putting money up to get fights done. Might not always be the fights we want or Prefer but at least they're investing in the sport. ESPN as well although they tend to treat Boxing like a Ugly Step Child and really don't go all out for it like they do UFC but still you get some quality fights on ESPN
Once this FOX Option is up, hopefully they just move everything under Paramount Global (which includes Showtime of course) or they add Another Serious Network or APP looking to really invest into BoxingLast edited by sicko; 08-17-2022, 02:43 PM.Comment

I like that fight very much. I expect an action packed fight that will last about 5-6 rounds. Wilder stops him most likely.Comment

Helenius is a good enough opponent considering he's coming off a layoff and two stoppage losses. Wilder has sparred him enough for his team to feel confident in the matchup. Helenius will fight valiantly and will get sparked valiantly.
I feel like PBC always tries to shoehorn Dirrell into every PPV card they have. I can already tell you the result of that fight: Plant UD win.
Let's see what the rest of the card looks like. As it stands not enough intrigue or entertainment where I'm getting the PPV.Comment

How about Charlo vs Lara? They should be intense coming from the same camp.
I can't think of anyone else b/c their fighters are so inactive I don't even remember who is signed with them for pairing.
Note: My bad on Charlo along with Benavidez. I forgot Haymonis holding their "O"s for Canelo so they can't take any risky fights

Highly doubt that he’s the worst top guy for Wilder stylistically. You can be assured team Wilder really went over the safest but more interesting fight for him at least against a true puncher which Wilder rarely fights .
If Wilder does lose at least we won’t be seeing these unwarranted PPVs anymore though in a loss to Helenius that really shows how mentally done Wilder is at top level .
just above average power…would not call him a true puncher. And average chin with ko losses to Washington and Duhaupas. Easy early ko for Wilder in this ppv mismatch.
