Comments Thread For: Usyk Promoter: Joshua Is Taking Rematch Seriously, But Usyk Is a Special Fighter, One In A Million

Alexander Krassyuk can appreciate the seriousness with which Anthony Joshua is approaching his chance to become three-time heavyweight champion--the promoter just has a hard time seeing how the British star can actually defeat Oleksandr Usyk.

Good to have a sports psychologist, for any professional sportsman and woman.

At the highest level, mental toughness can and often does make the difference. Fine margins.

If Joshua does lose to Usyk, he doesn't have to retire. He could have attractive fights with Wilder and Fury, if the latter returns.

If Usyk beats Josh x2, i guess its better than Fury beating Wilder x2. Usyk will be a excellent fighter. Josh wouldnt need to retire, just prove he can beat everyone else whether your name is Wilder, Fury, Dubois, Joyce, Flip etc that should take Josh till hes 36 or 37 years of age

Why would wins (especially decision wins) over AJ be rated higher than lopsided beatdowns over Deontay Wilder? AJ may have the overall better resume, but even his own fans know that he can be beaten by any Top 20 HW on any given night.

AJ is winning this due to his size and power because Usyk's frame is that of a Cruiserweight in this era of giant HWs. If AJ loses, then he is worse than I thought he is. AJ's test will come against Wilder (assuming he is still the same fighter he was) and Fury because both match or surpass him in size and reach.

That's what was said about the first win "AJ wins on size alone" well the saying goes "a good big un beats a good little un" but it's a mediocre big one vs a good little one.

He’s going to beat Joshua again and he’ll probably knock him out….early
