'Gentlemen, you mustn't fight in here. Its the War Room'

From Doctor Strangelove. How good was Kubrick, how good was Sellars, one of the great films of c20. IMO, after Godfather 2 & Raging Bull, & maybe Pulp Fiction, there isn't much better.

Sulaiman: We also fund the LGBTQ community in boxing.

What funding does the LGBTQ community require? Any human being, regardless of ethnicity, gender or orientation can pick up shorts, trainers, a towel, 2 gloves & a gum shield & get in the ring & spar! I'm sorry, the WBC are just having a laugh at everyone else's expense here.

Let's stick with the WBC. How accurate is the Don King section of this wiki article? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Boxing_Council

Why the phuck would anyone care if they’re “cool” with you. Every regular poster here recognizes for the douche bag you obviously are.

The guy thinks we are all fools. Someone needs to do a Panamá Papers investigation into the finances of boxing, especially an audit of judges income Vs expenditure/assets
Exactly. Pretty sure canelo alone paying fees twice a year cover all he mentioned plus more.

To be fair, as soon as Fighters and Fans stop putting a premium on anything related to the WBC, the better. He can pull in those fees because the name is still some kind of a draw.

Take away the "prestige", and boxing will be better off.

Because WBC collects a percentage of the purse and not flat rate, they have a financial incentive to get their belts in the hands of the fighters that would generate the biggest purses and they also obviously produce the rankings lists and make any exceptions to their own rules.

Canelo could basically call them up tomorrow and ask them if they will make him a diamond platinum belt in the 171.25 lb division and they will ask him how many diamonds he wants on it and then charge him for it.

                    ‘Everything goes back to boxing’.

By that Sulamain means that all the WBC tile fight fees end up in a Swiss Bank Account under the name ‘boxing’
