I definitely think that he can win. Look, its not like Cinnabon has looked spectacular against his last few opponents. He fought the same lazy, flat-footed, come forward style, only throwing power punches in short intervals, and winning, except with Bivol, because his opponents didn't possess the power to stop him from bull rushing or walking them down. GGG already has power, and with him not having to cut weight, it could increase the impact of his punches. He also knows how to attack from angles and throws a very hard jab, which is what won the first fight. I wouldn't be surprised at all if GG uses volume punches and pace to make Canelo gas out, as he is proven to do when he has to throw more than short bursts of punches.

It’s not like even scoring an early cut on a punch will really help GGG all that much. They are so good at containing the blood these days it’s very impressive. I’m not sure if they are using different techniques or if it’s just evolution over time.
GGG can’t even sneak in some low blows cause he’s shown he’s not willing to risk going to the body vs Canelo.
This fight could go the distance and maybe be closer than some expected ( maybe not on the cards ). GGG has a solid chin, but he also blocks a lot of punches with his face these days. If ever his corner were to save him from his own toughness it would be now.
Worst case scenario is a fight that looks something like their first two and mixed opinions on the scoring. Yeah that would be a closer fight that most expect, but we have seen it before. I’d love to see something fast, hard, wild, and end definitively well before the judges come into play.

Actually, I think the eight extra pounds benefits GGG because he'll be a lot stronger, tougher and durable at the higher weight class.

Moreover, it can potentially add several more years onto his career..He won't be coming in as gaunt, dehydrated and emaciated as usual.

It's Hell cutting down to weight when you are an older fighter.

Haven't seen too much out of Golovkins camp, but from the pictures we've seen so far, he looks strong as ****. Those 8 pounds are going to help a lot. I can imagine his shots are going to be more concussive as well.
