To coin one of your phrases, it's no bueno. And GBP aren't going to have any more success. As the PBC philosophy is to do in-house fights. And if there were an extremely rare time they might consider a fight with a non PBC fighter, it's on Showtime and Showtime only. That leaves little room for negotiation. It's dictating terms, and take it or leave it. Matchroom and GBP have more chance of making a fight. There was just one at the weekend at 147. And there will need to be more. Because neither Benn or Ortiz jr, will get to fight any PBC fighter, except perhaps if a vacant title match up is ordered. And there will definitely not be any unification fights. As where, Benn and Ortiz jr can unify if they become champions. That's why they have no interest in each other so far. Imo.
Except Joshua did make his debut in the U.S. with Ruiz, and I don't believe either fight was on Showtime, and Showtime only. I know Wilder vs. Fury II and III wasn't Showtime only! MatchRoom and GBP should've made several fights, and they didn't, and that's a damn shame!
