It looked fairly obvious AJ played soft and lost on purpose to Usyk, as he appeared to do with Ruiz too. If AJ just fights this guy like we know he can, full out warrior beast mode, he will win easily. But if he *****foots around throwing one punch combinations all night, he will lose intentionally.

BTW, I don't get why some people are so negative about AJ. He has done his part to unify the division what Wilder didn't even try to do in his 5+ years reign as WBC champion.
He may well do. I hope he does I'm a huge AJ fan and think he's made the right move here.
Mostly all we have pre fight, is speculation.
Both will come in better. Usyk lost a lot of weight in his war efforts, and has now put loads on. Normally you'd think too much weight too quick. But he looks like a legit HW now.

They wanted Reynoso but Reynoso couldn't make the journey smdh. Reynose blows dicks! Worst trainer =---> like when Manny was hot I used to tear up Roach and Roach is light years better than Reynoso, not even close. Reynoso hit the lottery, end of story.
The problem is AJ has no dog in him. When you're losing, you know it =---> I've been there and you got to get in those rounds and make those changes to win at all costs. That's the thing people talk about when they say they're willing to die in there and AJ doesn't do that, it's not in him.
He needs a guy in his corner that's calling the strategy round by round. Ok, this round I need this, he's catching you with x =---> do this, etc. McCrackhead doesn't work like that in between rounds, he's vague. He needs a director in his corner, not some old fart bullshitting him.
From what I read, Garcia isn't cutting cut the mustard fast enough. You need time with a fighter, like 3 fights worth. Also, AJ needs 1 trainer and 1 trainer only. Fuck all these chefs in the kitchen. 1 guy!

Lol, I love how dudes sitting in their pants at home seem to know so much more than a trainer who has trained multiple world champions and Olympians and a former unified world champion and Olympic gold medalist.
Sometimes boxers just need a change because they become stagnant and need change to feel refreshed.
All good. Let's see what happens.greeneye99 likes this.

Robert about to make him a terminator. Not that it will matter, Usyk is so much skilled than him. But man AJ can really punch, he needs to sneak just one good one and the fight could sway in his favor. I will say Robert is a good choice for entertainment factor and for AJ in this fight. He really needs to sneak a good one in exchanges because he will never outbox a guy like Usyk.

Aj along with Wilder were always prospect belt holder's & i couldn't believe on a rewatch how slow & ineffective aj was. After that first back hand left straight down the pipe Aj didn't want to know & after a little success in 5 & 6 from 7 onwards his jab turned into a can i even touch Usyk paw. I believe he was to gassed & clueless to do anything else.
Ajs size is a disadvantage against the iq of Usyk & the only thing aj has in his pocket is he has nothing to lose.
Joshua does not 1 thing better, Usyk let him win a couple of rounds on charity.

If AJ isn't tearing to this guy's body from round 1, then rest assured Fury will be having a breakdown on Twitter. We are talking about going from 200-300 million to fighting in a Family Diner.
The best I have seen from Garcia is an unorganized bum rusher like Maidana. That's not going to cut it vs Usyk
If I was Fury I would have offered Sugar Hill and covered all training expenses AJ's camp.
