In that fight with Murata GGG showed his age and that he was becoming vulnerable to the body. Hell, he even got hurt to the body by Derv.

Him being at 168 though should add to his durability. Can't imagine making 160 was doing him any favors. He was obviously hurt against Derev but against Murata, I think that was overblown. Sure he landed some shots, a lot low too but without Algieri's commentary, I doubt people would have made a big deal about the body shots. Murata jumped on him early and with Golovkin's age and ring rust, took him awhile to adjust but after the 3rd round, GGG took over. But seriously, I've mentioned it before, I'm so sick of people predicting Canelo stops someone from a body shot. He's stopped Fielding and Liam, but other than that, he hasn't even put someone down in over 10 years, yet they predict it before every...single...fight.

Bernard knows more about boxing than most ppl will ever know. But I respectfully disagree with his prediction. It's not supported by the evidence, since Canelo never dropped, visibly wobbled or hurt GGG so far, in 24 total rounds, even though he landed some hard clean shots, he barely got a reaction from GGG. But on the other hand, GGG put Canelo in flight in their 1st fight. It was shocking because it was the 1st time anyone ever saw Canelo back pedal so much, and even down right run, at times. So he must have felt something he didn't like. He clearly lost that fight. Most neutral observers can admit that. In the 2nd fight, it was Canelo who got hurt, his eye busted open late with a hard uppercut, and he was the one who was tired, bleeding and holding on at the end. He didn't finish strong at all, even though he's the younger man and him and his team (Hopkins included) tried to wait GGG out until they thought he was old and showing signs of slippage. So there's nothing there from the previous 2 fights to suggest that Canelo will stop GGG, unless B-Hop is just looking at age. But GGG avoids bad habits, trains constantly, and is always in shape just like B-Hop was. I see another tough night ahead for Canelo

Jesus, man. Pick any other example. Tyson at 35 was a shadow of himself. Kovalev at 37 is a ghost of christmas past. There are so many examples in the past 35 club that I don't even know where to begin. Ther is NO professional athlete in history who would still be in their prime past 35. And against someone like Canelo (in his prime) you also need to be in your prime. And GGG isn't. That's all.
