Usyk is top dog today. Fury retired and Wilder is just silently retiring. What else has Fury done in recent years but beat Wilder? That is all he will be remembered for. Wilder will just be remembered for losing to Fury three times. What have these fighters done in the past five years in the prime of their careers? Joshua will be remembered for losing to a whale of a fighter in the first Ruiz fight and winning an unimpressive rematch with a real whale. Usyk is the only heavyweight that looks the part and backs it up. If Usyk can remain on top for a few years he will bring some credibility back to the heavyweight division.
Usyk is on top in the heavyweight division

Fury and Usyk will both be gone after undisputed. Maybe the former sticks around for the ez AJ retirement payday, but that is it.
This idea that either of them will start stacking title defences is foolish.
What would be the motivation? CTE and forum dwellers writing off their achievements as the byproduct of a "weak era"?Comment

Usyk is the most unprecedented talent in Heavyweight boxing. Both on ability and what he has achieved in his career.
This is why I state? If Anthony Joshua can beat Usyk, it is the best Heavyweight win of the past 20 years.
Tyson Fury is retired. Fury has just retired after beating a fighter Joshua ****** out a long time ago. Joshua also beat a better more agile and flexible Dillian Whyte.
Whyte could hardly move vs Fury, and it is something that has been decreasing ever since he started to bulk himself up. There was always the possibility that Whyte may have burnt himself out by the time he eventually got his title fight.
I always theorized this, with all of his tough fights and brutal loses to Povetkin. Whyte has a good resume, but that resume has come with its consequences.
Whyte deserves credit for giving it a go vs Fury. But I am still disappointed that he did not involved himself in the build up 'I think he missed a opportunity to go at Fury'.Comment

Fury is retired. We hear him talk about how he could beat this fighter or that fighter but he hasn't fought anyone. If he is as great as he says then three big fights a year should be no problem for him. No attempt at cleaning up the division deserves no credit for greatness.Comment

I don't see how you can give Usyk that much credit because he has only a few fights at heavyweight. Also the majority agree that Joshua Ruiz I was the best heavyweight win for many years.Usyk is the most unprecedented talent in Heavyweight boxing. Until someone cleans up the division they cannot claim greatness.Comment
