I wish all the sanc bodies would make Boots / Virgil 1 and 2 in all rankings and force the fight!

Something tells me if Ortiz wins Spence moves to 154 or drops the belt. Providing he gets past Crawford if they fight.

My 3 dream fights: Spence vs Crawford this year with Ennis-Ortiz in undercard!!! Then winners will face each other

The winner of Saturday's DAZN main event will be named the mandatory challenger to the WBA welterweight title, Golden Boy Promotions confirmed Thursday.

I like Ortiz but this isnt a smart fight for him. The other man has quite the pedigree. He could seriously outbox him to win.

"Interestingly, a win by Ortiz could position him to next face Stanionis for the WBA ‘World’ title. Stanionis is promoted by Richard Schaefer, who used to run Golden Boy Promotions before being forced to resign from the California-based outfit in 2014."

My Man. You see what I'm saying now? They haven't even cleared up the mess they have with Spence and Stanionis, and they have already muddied the waters! What happens if we get Boots vs. Stanionis in October? Will Vergil be mandatory to that winner? It's ridiculous, and it has nothing to do with Al Haymon, who has nothing to do with Ortiz, nor McKinson!

Listen pal I appreciate this has nothing to do with Haymon. My comments on Haymon were in response, specifically to the LSC,Wood situation. I'm not saying Haymon is responsible for every WBA decision. But I do see influence where his fighters are concerned. With regards to this situation? Yes, Ortiz would be mandatory to a Spence, Stanionis winner. But that would be some time away. Spence fights Crawford and after that we have a new undisputed champ, who most likely vacates the belts. Stanionis will be upgraded to the one and only WBA champ, and ordered to defend against the winner of Ortiz, McKinson. But Ortiz could potentially fight for the WBO or WBC also. It may depend on what comes up first. So this eliminator is of no value to Ortiz, as he fights for a title in any case. If Spence, Crawford doesn't materialize, Spence will have a que of mandatories to fulfill. There'd be Stanionis who is long overdue. There'd be Ennis, who is not so much overdue, but the IBFs mandatory is, as there hasn't been one since 19. And they may be champing at the bit to have theirs next in line. This is a by product of pushing Kudratillo aside a couple of times. The WBC haven't established their mandatory yet, and that was Spence most recent when he fought Garcia, so the WBC is most likely back of the que. In any case Spence most likely vacates and moves to 154 than fight those mandatories. He has one fight left at 147 and that's Crawford. If not he's going north. Crawford wants Spence, and if not he most likely goes north also. Either way the belts fragment and we get the reset.

I think this one is ends similar to BJS v Canelo. McKinson is technically sound and can be elusive, but I think the harder punching Ortiz will eventually break him down with a stoppage between 7 & 9.

I think that’s what Ortiz’s camp is banking on too. I think Canelo’s camp thought the same thing about Bivol.

They can’t get Spence and Crawford done and their both OLD. Maybe in 5-7 years if both of those men stay undefeated.
