    I don’t give a toss about Paul or HRJ, but is 16lbs really impossible to lose in 3-4 weeks?

    You hear about fighters cutting that much in the week of the fight.

    It is hard to know if HRJ was actually struggling with the weight as he didn’t even try to get down.

    HRJ is not a big heavyweight either, he could probably campaign at cruiserweight with the right motivation.

        I don't like Jake paul but HRJ who I was rooting for only loss 1 freaking pound . There's other in a couple weeks time. He wasn't even trying to lose the weight. I understand if he was having a hard time cutting al the weight but only 1 pound really?

          That is a very good question but we will never can tell if 16 lbs were too much to ask of HRJ to cut in three weeks.

          He weighed 224 in his last fight where he was stopped and between that time to the present;

          We really didn’t know how much weight he gained between that fight. It’s very possible that he could have weighed at least 250 lbs or more.

            It’s sad that the best discussion on this whole Issue, including why the fight couldn’t go on and the utter lack of professionalism shown by Rahman Jr., isn’t on Boxing Scene - it’s on Chael Sonnen’s YouTube channel.

              I wouldn't do it to prove a point to a randomer on the internet but I could easily do it for the biggest opportunity of my life.

              At over 200lbs+ you can lose 3-4lb per week easy just from diet and exercise, then cut the rest as water the day before the weigh-in.

              Jeff Horn cut 10lbs in 15 hours before weighing in against Manny Pacquiao and he was a welterweight.

              He did it because it was the biggest opportunity of his life and the cut couldn't have affected him that much as he went 12 rounds with one of the greatest fighters of all time.

                  I swear I recall him celebrating and leaving the ring with the belt, it is a shame that all contemporaneous records of the event have been lost, so we will never actually know what happened that day.
