Neither one of them fought an all-time great in his prime. For Rocky Marciano this seemed to be tied in to his career's timing more than anything. With Floyd it was mostly being very calculated and waiting for guys to slip before fighting them. Two all-timers but Floyd should have one L on his record from Castillo.

Their resumes arent even close. Marciano only has like 8-10 even notable opponents and the rest are all factory workers and bin men.

Mayweather was fighting champions and former champions for like 18 years straight.

          Like this is anything big.

Floyd fought in an era where there 3 or 4 paper champs per division.

He definitely didn't beat an all time great in there prime did he even beat a two or 3 belt unified belt holder in their prime

Marciano had a more effective style for his time period than Floyd. Marciano knocked out almost everyone he fought by pressing through them with unmatched durability and grit. Floyd outmatched everyone he fought with skill. With that said Floyd has the significantly greater skills and skillset, but in my opinion Marciano was more effective in his time than Floyd was based off of knock out proficiency, and that he didnt accumulate controversial decisions. We can argue competition all day, but they fought who they fought and they both beat them all.

"Marciano was losing against a past-it Walcott."
But he didn't. He pushed deeper, and finished Walcott. Then knocked him out in 1 round in the immediate rematch. Ali was losing to Foreman, Foreman was losing to Moorer, statements that mean nothing in the long run. Foreman lost to Ali by KO, the only one on Foreman's record, and we all know the punchers Foreman fought. The greatest rise to the occasion.

I say Floyd. He's MUCH more skilled than Marciano, and has a better resume. Marciano was losing against a past-it Walcott.

Obviously a clickbait thread, but I have nothing to do with my life, so here goes...

Rocky fought in an era with few quality opponents and him being a heavyweight had no option of moving between weight classes.

Floyd was obviously more technical, but Marciano was always trying to murder you with power and relentless assault.

                Floyd's resume looks more versatile.

If they were both at the same weight it would be Floyd vs Maidana on steroids.

So, resume-wise it's Floyd for me.

As for an actual fight between them, I think Floyd would tame that power, but you never know.
