Are the Brits poor?

Taken in isolation you're right, but for the overall model it makes sense to have it on PPV in all regions. As I said previously, just don't buy it and listen on 5-Live on your earbuds in bed, which is what I'll probably do. If it's a classic I'll pay and watch in the morning.Comment

Can't generalise but this particular muthafecker is.... reckon I can probably find a tenner for a PPV though - if I can be arsed staying up.

They charge the maximum they can get away with and still sell well in each country. For you Yanks they know you’ll pay anything, so rip you off with 70 and 80 dollar events. Us Brits just won’t pay anything like that, even the £27 for AJ-Usyk is pushing it and I’ll just stream it for free.
Of course, there’s also the time difference and the fact that your prime time events are 4 and 5am for us, which severely limits who’s going to actually watch it as well. AJ-Usyk doesn’t have that issue though so they’re charging a bit more.Comment

I always respect how the UK area fans and other Euros stay up till 5am for the US main events of name boxers to start. Your cards here start 10 or 11am pacific my time. Not a boxing time for me. Sometimes I side watch them, unless the Great Katie Taylor is fighting. I sit for that one with coffee and a joint of my best kush.Americans seem not to understand that when we pay PPV for an American card, we are not watching it at 10/11pm, but at 4/5am, and only the hardcore base are going to be awake, the likes of Nash. I think Joshua vs Usyk 2 is around $37, but we are not used to paying higher prices here so people won't take it. Forget the cliches about England, it's highly likely nothing like you imagine, and approx 0.1% of England speak the Queens English. And less than 5% speak anything like English people speak on American TV shows and movies. Coffee is almost as popular as tea, and I can't even remember the last time I saw somebody eat a crumpet or a scone. Nash out.Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 07-29-2022, 03:37 AM.Comment

More like Americans willing to pay for inferior goods. Ruiz Ortiz PPV costs $40 which is actually almost half the Canelo or Spence PPV cost but actually $40 more than it should be.Comment
