I have never felt that Oscar De La Hoya had any real issues with Mayweather. De La Hoya got big credit for his performance vs Mayweather, and he had the universal respect from all boxing fans with his career etc.

I would never describe De La Hoya & Mayweather as bitter rivals. It is all made up.

The public isn't pounding the table for a Davis vs Garcia fight, most people have been saying that Ryan doesn't deserve a title fight. Ryan needs to prove himself by not fighting guys named Campbell and Fortuna. Ryan should fight Cruz and Romero before any fight with Tank is discussed. Oscar is obviously looking for a payday just like he did when Mayweather schooled Canelo.
